Looks are deceiving

Toasting of items is more one sided found having to flip toast around to have it even on both sides.
This at times over cooks/burns items
Heating elements are way off from side to side more heat from middle of toaster

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear that the Oster® Black Stainless Collection 4-Slice Long Slot Toaster only toasts on one side. This is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help.
If only one side is toasting on your toaster, make sure the bagel setting has not been selected. If it has been selected, then only the inner elements will heat up.
Also, when this happens, please check to see if the crumb tray is in place. This will affect the toasting performance. Lastly, make sure the crumb tray is clean.
