Nice unit!

I bought this unit for an above the garage room. It keeps this area cool and comfotable in a Georgia summer, for a very reasonable energy cost.
The only drawback to the unit is with the window exhaust- it isn't very flexible and has a tendency to work its way loose if the unit is moved much. But the benefits for me far outweigh the drawbacks.

I am from maine and I bought the air cond at the end of may since we were experiencing a very hot spring. I actually did not use it till the 1st full week in july (1 night) since the temperature has since dropped and we are now experiencing a cool summer. the one night I have used it so far has been great, it cooled my 15x16 bedroom adequately. I like the fact that I can still have access to my window to let cool breezes come in when the ac is not in use. (unlike a window unit that has to be taken out each time to let fresh air in .

Our central unit was going to cost more to repair than I paid for three portable units. As it turned out two units would probably have been sufficient, but it is nice to have the spare when needed. We can put the cool where we want it instead of a central unit's putting it in places we don't need it.

Enjoying a cooler house!

We live in Western Washington State, where very few houses have air conditioning... it's rarely needed, but this summer has been much warmer than in the past! We purchased our LG portable air conditioning unit on the spur of the moment and have been thoroughly enjoying a much cooler living space with it.
The unit was easy to install, and came with everything needed. When on, it cools the air in our open-concept living/dining/kitchen area quickly and efficiently. We are pleased with its' portability and how easy it will be to pack it up to store for the cooler months. The only complaint we have with the unit is that the fan is very noisy.

This product cools and works well

This product really cools very well and doesn't leak or drip anywhere. I also like that it has a guard in the tubing so we don't have birds nesting in there. The blower is a little loud, but great overall.

I bought this model in May of 2013 and gets used very little. Now the compressor operates for about 5 minutes and then blows room air around. Start-ups in about 15 minutes do the same.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
