Unit works well and cools the room.
Very poor design with regards to the water removal system. NO removable tank - what were they thinking. to make matters worse, it has a 2 pint internal reservoir that fills in a matter of hours, spills when the unit is moved and the drain outlet for it is less than an inch from the bottom of the unit meaning an external tank or container of your own has to be less than an inch in height (won't hold much - hope you like running back and forth to dump it)
Plus no energy save mode, where unit shuts down when set inside temperature is attained.
Fixed the water removal part by building a platform to raise the unit so a decent size container can fit under outlet drain.
Pros: Performance, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is perfect for what I needed

We have a bonus room that gets so hot in the summer we are unable to use it. It is about 250 square feet. We purchased this unit to cool that room and it won't be moved to any other rooms. It was easy to setup and we had to put it in a corner so it wouldn't get in the way of a ping pong table but the flexible hose worked fine for that. The only problem I had with installation was the hose would tend to pull the spacer out of the window. I ended up putting a small plastic block in place to prevent that. The unit was mainly for the grandkids to have a nice place to play so we turn it on 30 minutes to an hour before they arrive and turn it off after the leave. This unit has been a perfect match for our needs.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality

This product has cold A/C with flaws

Keeps my 13 x 9 room cold; however, this product is very noisy and when the room reaches the desired temperature and the compressor shuts off it makes a loud cluncking sound. I have purchaced LG portable room air conditioners in the past but this is by far the worst model in terms of noisiness.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

This stop-gap purchase served very well!

When our house AC went out, it took several days to get it replaced. In the mean time, we set this unit up in the bedroom with fans blowing down the hall. While the house AC fan still worked, we used it to help circulate the cooler air from the bedroom to the rest of the house. It helped take the edge off the 94 degree temps out side, and made sleeping much more comfortable. Yes, it makes noise and the exit hose for the hot air is HOT! This unit works so well that it removed more than a quart of water from the air every 2 hours or so! That's a lot! We had to empty the drainage every two hours.Recommend an exit tube be included to pass through a fitted hole in the window panel. This is a great unit that served us well!
Pros: Performance
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great unit

Sure it's a little bit loud but it does a great job. I'm single and spend the majority off my time in my den and wanted something to use instead of the central AC that cools the whole house. I live in California so I only use the unit a total of about 1 month per year but I see some people saying their unit fills up after hours, that's odd. As I write this we are in the middle of a heatwave and I've been using my unit at least 8 hrs per day for the last two weeks, tank still not full. The unit cools a large room with ease and I love the features. I also own an LG projector that is also great. Love the products this company is producing. The energy cost savings vs central air is staggering. May buy a unit for my bedroom.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
