Ok for two seasons than total failure in season 3

The AC unit functioned without incident through 2 seasons (4 months in temps between 80-95 degrees). Stored in bedroom off-season. Third season unit control panel would not light up. Multiple sockets later unit still dead. I expected a longer lifespan. Will not buy a second unit from LG.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Product

I purchased this portable air conditioner to cool my art studio in my garage and it has performed admirably. It's powerful enough to do the job and the noise level isn't objectionable. The only thing LG should consider changing would be the entire set up to vent the warm air outside. The window vent comes in at least 3 pieces, is poorly designed and difficult to install in the window, and because of that it really cuts down on the portability of the unit. At some point I'll make a better venting system for my window.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cools well for the cost

Despite having central air, the upstairs gets warm during the summer. I bought this to help the central air. This unit cools a large upstairs bedroom quickly. The design of the window vent has been improved, but it can still pull out when moving the unit. I do not want to permanently attach it to the window, and it is much more portable than a window unit. The unit is a little loud, but that was expected. It would be nice if the blower had a lower setting and have the option to turn it off when the compressor is not running. Since the blower runs constantly, I run the unit in the afternoon and evening and shut it off when room is cool. We have another room that needs one, and I wanted to test this out before buying two. I will probably buy a second one.

This product can do so much, to much for my non technical mind, but you can by-pass all the features and just turn it on, set the temp, and shut it off when your cool. So I love it, easy to set up with good sealing tape for the window connection, and looks good after setting up too.
Good power, cools great, and the auto evaporation sys. is a great labor saving feature as well. It also has remote control which I don't need but it is there if you do.

It is so loud you won't be able to sleep. Do yourself a favor and get a window unit so the noise is outside the house.

Bought this to help make our cottage tolerable for sleeping during the hot and humid days of July & August...
It works great as a dehumidifier and the fan really moves the air....The portability allowed us to move it where we needed it. Very happy with this product and would recommend it highly

I was quite impressed with this product. It does the trick when main central air goes on the fritz. The de- humidifier worked amazingly well. Couldn't believe how much moisture it took out of the room it was in. Good quality. Like the fact that it has 3 functions. Just wish it had an auto shut off when it reaches the temperature that is set. I would recommend this to anyone. It's also easy to travel it elsewhere if you are staying at someone's house that has no air.

This unit is being used in a 15 X 30 area. It cools down to the set temperature and maintains that temperature. Have also used the fan feature. The unit is very well made and delivers a quality performance. No problems at all.
