The product never turns off, so how energy efficent could it be??? When my other A/c units get to the set degree they turn off and there is also a energy saving feature on them. There are NONE on yours.
THE BIGGEST problem is where the hole is to empty the water at the bottom~are you kidding!! We have to use a COOKIE TRAY because that's the only thing that fits under it!!! So the wobbly cookie tray usually spills on my hardwood floors!!!! It also requires 2-3 SLOW trips to the kitchen sink to empty!!!
There sould have been a separate hose piece to put on the hole and have an opening to be able to use a regular sized container/only one trip. Or all water weather it was in the A/C mode or Dehumidify should come out of the upper port.....which also is so tight to the machine that it is a SPILLER TOO!
Rethink, Redesign, Think of energy, Think efficently and most of all Think of your customers!
Pros: Quality, not a good choice
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

convenient to use. easier than a window unit.

I am 73 years old. The window unit we had had become too heavy to put in and out of the window. The portable unit was easy to connect to the window vent and with the casters will be easy to roll into storage in the Fall. One drawback is that it is noisier than the window unit was. We bought a 10,000 BTU unit to replace the 8,000 BTU window unit. The performance is close.
Pros: Performance, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Blows nice and cool but is loud.

My central AC unit died, it was from 1991 and not possible to repair. I bought this LG for the features and although it does blow nice and cold, it's very loud. It also never shuts off, even when it reaches the desired temp. My living room must be too big for 10,000 btus as it reached 87 degrees inside this afternoon.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

We use the air conditioner for about 5-6 hours in the afternoon and it keeps our small home comfortable. Our attic fan takes over in the evening to pull cool air from the outside then.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality

I purchased this portable air conditioner for my enclosed patio. I wasn't sure how well it would do with the temperature hitting over 105 many days. It has been such a pleasure sitting on my patio and being cool all the time. It runs quiet and is very effective. I just love the remote control which is very easy to understand and use.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings
I would recommend this to a friend!

The product is OK, but not great

It does generate a lot of cold air, and that's good. What is not good is: 1. It's quite noisy. 2. There is no way to direct the cold air output from side to side without turning the whole machine - which is a) likely to dislodge the window connection and b) hard to do because the machine is heavy - especially for older users. I think it would cost LG very little to correct these deficiencies and to do so would make the product very much better. An even better idea would be to install a system for swinging air output from side to side and up and down. Perhaps you'ld have to charge a bit more for that feature.
Pros: Performance, Quality

I live in Phoenix and We lost our central air unit. we could not afford to replace it. However I had a 14500 btu and a 7000 btu. window unit from an old RV I used to have. I put the small unit in the bedroom and the large unit in the dining room as it was the only place I could make it fit because of the solar screens. It was still unbearable in the living room. we purchased this LG unit on recommendation from a friend. It has made life good (LG) my wife is at home due to disability and actually has to turn the unit down because it makes her to cold. Last week outside temps averaged 107 inside a comfortable 73 I highly recommend this unit.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality, life saver

My dogs love this product !!

I have 2 outside dogs and live in central FL. We enclosed the front porch and bought this portable air conditioner to keep the dogs cool during the hot, humid months from spring to fall.
They love it so much, they rarely leave the porch and it is easy to clean the 2 pull out filters. I have always trusted the LG products and this is a great produce for my pets.
