Had to chose a protable since the windows do not accomidate what is on the market.
Much more expensive than is worth, but the heat is not my friend. Very bulky when trying to empty, and the directions in the book is not relative to this model. Dripps and drabs came out, still not sure if it is empty.

I purchased this unit a year ago and it worked fine about 6 months total out of 12. It started blowing out water so I drained it and it worked ok for about two weeks then it started doing it again. I called service and they told me to do it again so I did. It worked for a weeke then started blowing water out again but this time it didn't stop. The FL or full indicator function didn't work so I had no way of knowing it was full of water. But the last time I drained very little water out and started it again it started blowing out water again. I trashed and went and bought a different brand. Do not purchase any LG a/c they are nothing but junk. I would not recommend any of their a/c units!!!!!!

I bought this last summer and it worked fine. This year when I turned it on it blows hot air. Very unhappy with air conditioner.

We purchased this in April, 2013. The first summer, it worked pretty well. The room is not that big and it was running during the day for about 4 months. The summer of 2014, it started not cooling consistently. The filters were changed every 4 days or so. We just set it up again, preparing for this year's heat. It's blowing hot air and it occasionally sounds like the compressor is not functioning properly. Look for a different brand unless you want to replace it in a couple years. Very disappointed in this product.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not very good in Humid climates

I like the unit very much, but it has a draw back if you live in hot and HUMID climate. The unit's single hose means that it must suck hot, HUMID air from outside your house to replace the hot air it expells. At my home, the humidity never dropped below 60%. The temperature did drop, but it didn't feel comfortable because of the high humidity. It seems, looking at the way the unit was designed that a 2 hose system was planned but they went with a single hose. I wish it had the option of a dual hose system.

Very happy with this air conditioner. Sleek style and easy to use. Easy to setup. The directions for operating could be more detailed, but we figured them out. The 3 fan setting can be adjusted to make it quieter. Nice product.
