Spurting Water

The unit worked great for a few weeks until one evening the unit starting spurting water from the fan. The unit's water light was not showing it was full. I did drain the unit however (not much water came out). Even after draining the unit, water continued to shoot from the fan opening. The humidity was not too high, either, at only 57%. I plan on returning the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have purchased a portable AC unit before but I had to return it because it was SO loud . This unit does not make any more noise ( and less noise then 1 window unit I still own ) , then a 'regular' window mounted AC. I do think the operators manual could be more descriptive regarding use or recommendations for the drain hose provided It remains to be seen how much of a hassle it will be to drain it , as it has been a rather cool summer so far. If there is anything I was disappointed about is how hot the vent hose gets , i'm sure this affects the coolness in the room , however, the owners manual does recommend wrapping the hose with insulation , but , again , better instructions about how to do that , or even what to use , would have been more helpful , and / or , a better quality exhaust hose could have provided. Bottom line , I would definitely purchase this product again.

Short Life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had TWO of these in the last 5 years, never again. I don't have the high dollars to put out every two years or so. First one worked great for a summer, then about 3/4 of the next. Purchased a new one two years ago at the beginning of the summer, and it lasted 2 summers and here we are in July and it's spitting water, isn't cooling very well. I am very frustrated. I know its very hot right now, but I live in Colorado and our humidity isn't that high. My floor was wet when I got home after it ran for 3 hours.Bad product.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unit cools small rooms

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased unit to cool a bedroom - does very well, but you do need to drain the water (we use a hose into a bucket). It would be better if the hose was insulated as it gets hot and radiates heat back into the room.

Amazing machjne

Cools Quickly

I bought a 12000 btu unit. The first unit had a defect, it was spitting water out from the vent 10 minutes after it was turned on. I returned the unit and got another one. This unit runs great and cools down the upstairs of my house quickly. I would recommend this product to anyone. I runs quietly and can be moved easily if needed.
