Good if you like water droplets with your cool air

We had high hopes for this machine based on previous reviews. Maybe we got a lemon (?). After being used for a couple of days, it filled up with water that pools at the bottom of the fan blades and continually spits water into the room along with cool air. We use the "cleaning" feature repeatedly each day and have repeatedly drained the machine (following instructions, but even lifting it and turning it upside down to get water out) and after a few minutes it starts spitting water all over again. Everything within five feet of the vents gets soaked within hours.

I use this AC in an RV. It does take up some valuable floor space but, it does cool things down in relatively short order. Cools about 250 sq/ft from 99 degrees inside. Down to about 80 degrees in 2 1/2 hrs. Outside temp was 100. All temps are in Fahrenheit.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings

Great product for the money

We've had this portable air conditioner for about six months. It works great! Cools 25 x 25 room really well in 90 to 100 degrees weather. This room used to be a sun room, has windows all around it and has no insulation so it takes a lot to cool it down. It is a little noisy but cools the room well.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this unit due to living in SoCal and most apartments do not have AC. Had it for a few years now and love it. It cools down a 700 Sq Ft room within an hour and is quieter than the last unit I had. I like it so much I bought a second one for my Master Bedroom. The filter is easy to clean and the water trap at the back of the unit drains in less than a minute when full.
The only issue I find with this model is how difficult it is to clean the coils. Like all A/C units the coils will become covered in dust and debris after 100's of hours of use. This will cause the unit to run hot and automatically shut down. You have to remove the panels around the unit to access the coils and it is a bit of a pain to clean. After the cleaning the coils the unit ran like new again. Minor draw back but wanted to note it.
Overall experience is A+. Would definitely recommend

My home air conditioner needed work and at the time buying and using the LG portable a.c. seemed to be my best option. Now i'm really in any hurry to have the home a.c. repaired because the LG works so well. It's easy to set up and use and the remote makes it even more convenient.

This is my first purchase of a portable. I have had many LG window units. We are getting older & since we live in PA we remove window units in winter. This was getting to be a chore we dreaded. My husband had it set and cooling within minutes of opening the box. Very user friendly operation. Cools quickly & quietly.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

I use this unit to air condition a loft room of about 400 sq.ft. Although there are HVAC registers in the room the fact that it is the highest point in the house where heat tends to collect cancels them out. This unit keeps the area cool even while running in the energy saving mode with 90+ degrees outside. It is also relatvely quiet compared to the last unit. I would buy another one if I needed it.

This is my first purchase of a portable air conditioner. I have a LG window unit that's only 6,000 btu and was struggling to keep my apartment cool. It was great when it was only 80 degrees out but expecting it to cool off my whole apartment with a heat index of 105 was asking too much. So I decided to get a portable and use the window ac in the other room. The portable is doing such a good job of cooling off the whole place that I didn't need to turn on the window unit. I love the features especially the dry feature. It's easy to setup and move around if needed. It's about as noisy as any other ac. I don't expect it to be whisper quiet. I like it and would definitely buy another one.
I've always been a fan of LG products. In fact, most of my electronics are LG. I love the LG HD Tv's so much that I bought one for my mom so that she could experience it too. She loves it!! Soon my place will be all LG :-)
