Cools quickly. Some reviews have said it's loud. I think it might be a bit, but honestly, I use it in a bedroom at night and have no problem sleeping with it running. It real helps on South Texas nights.

Not for humid places

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked ok during the first year, but now it's started spitting water when it's run for more than 1hr! One of these reviews explains how to fix it but you have to take the entire unit apart down to a level I'm not comfortable with to do it. The standard drain procedure also doesn't drain the entire unit, so it's prone to mould.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for a condo. We are not allowed to put in a window unit. My concern was the BTU's for the size of my room and it has to be quiet. It is under size for the size of my room but still does an adequate job. It is also quiet.
