This Portable A/C Gets the Job Done

I bought this unit for an upstairs bedroom that gets uncomfortably warm during the summer months. I had this 12000BTU portable A/C up and running in less than 30 minutes. The window venting system uses high quality components and the set up is intuitive and easy to accomplish. I particularly like the oscillating fan feature which allows the cooled air to be put into the room at both high and low levels. I was able to cool the bedroom (20' x 18') down to 75 degrees from 85 degrees in about 30 minutes. The unit has a small foot print and easy to use front panel controls. The remote makes it easy to set the timer from bed to go on or off in one hour intervals. This is an excellent portable A/C for the money!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Emergency Cooling

We live in south Florida and are prone to hurricanes and potential power outages, so we bought an emergency generator. It will not power our central HVAC, so we bought this portable unit to cool our bedroom and bath off of the generator if we lose power. It was tested when our central AC went out for four days. Installation was easy, and it kept our bedroom cooler than our central unit. It's a bit noisy, but no different from one of those hotel under-window units. You get used to the drone and it is not bothersome. Plenty of features also. We hope we will not have to use it much, but will test it frequently to make sure it works well.

I live on the seventh floor of a brick building in a studio apt. with two windows facing the west and when the sun comes over the top of the building in the afternoon the apt really heats up. My apt has only 110 electric and this unit fit my needs perfectly. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a floor unit as it has made my life much more comfortable when it comes to staying cool. A+

I needed this

I bought this to supplement a couple of window units. wife said it's ugly. The first day was the start of a heat wave. 5 hours in and I noticed it spitting water, I'm quite sure it was because I had the"auto swing" on and when air forced thru restricted opening condensed the water? Eh, when I turned auto swing off and opened the flap all the way it stopped. I wish the flap opened all the way when first turned on as I then pull it open every time. It's not quiet, and the cycling compressor kept waking my kid up when tried in his room. I do hope it doesn't require cleaning as I detest cleaning window units every season. Cools 400 sq ft easily. All in all it does what I need and I needed this.
Pros: Performance, Quality

This replaced a window air conditioner which looked ugly from the outside of the house. The LG was easy to install, works well, and isn't an eyesore from the outside of the house. It seems to cool much better than the window unit using about the same power.

The portable AC is exactly what we needed.

We were looking for a way to cool just the kitchen end of our house. This AC fits neatly in a small space in front of an end window. The remote makes it possible to operate the AC without getting into that small space. The portability made it easy to install. We appreciate not having to deal with a bulky window unit. The noise level is very low. It cools effectively the desired area.

Works Great

Bought this after one too many hot, humid Boston summer days.It may not be powerful enough to make a ~500 sq ft. apartment quite as cold as I would like, but it still works great and was completely necessary.
