Best feature Dry Mode

This product cooled my bed with no trouble but my power billed doubled the months I used it. I did like the dry mode which pulled the moisture out of the room as it cooled it. I set the unit up on a stool and removed the drain plug and placed a large catch pan under it to catch the water, that worked great.

This air conditioner is very easy to use and easy to set up. It immediately cooled down the room, and maintained the temperature setting on the controls.

This unit cools entire open concept first floor. It kept us cool during our really hot & humid period this summer. The only complaint is that it is loud when running on high.

Stopped working right after warranty expired

Stopped working right after warranty expired, 500$ down the drain. I guess if product was of good quality warranty would have been longer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this about 3 weeks ago at the recommendation of our doctor to help treat my husband's asthma. We haven't used the air conditioning setting at all but use the fan setting mainly to draw out the air in the room and clear it of allergens. From day one the fan setting will only work on high even if it is supposed to work on high or low. Setting it up after lugging it home was a hassle so we don't want to disassemble the setup and haul it back to exchange it for another unit.
The remote also doesn't work well with the unit even if you stand right in front of it. So, it is rather useless. If I try to set the unit on Low it automatically goes into the air conditioning mode instead of staying in the fan mode. It is frustrating, but again, we don't want to go through the hassle of returning it for a different unit.
Had I known this wouldn't work from the get go I would never have bought it.
The noise level is pretty high with this too. It makes as much noise as a standard window mounted unit but you don't have the unsightly box hanging out the side of your house. This is the first portable air conditioner we've owned and I doubt we will ever get one again. It takes up a lot of space on the floor being that you need a 20 inch clearance around the entire unit.
I'm thinking the air conditioning mode will work great when summer comes around and if it weren't for the fan mode only working on high and the remote being tempermental, I would have rated this higher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent AC

This portable AC does an excellent job of cooling our 500+ sq ft bedroom in 80+ degree temperatures We live in a very humid area and have run it, 24/7, for over a month. The water tank still hasn't needed manual emptying.
