This unit fit the window just as the instructions said. Easy setup although you will want to use two people to slide unit into place making it easier. Maintains temp satisfactorily for a window unit. The remote and controls are easy to understand and use.

design flaws

dear lg. the energy saver mode has a major design flaw. this unit turns the fan on every 3 minutes to "check" the room temperature, to see if it needs to turn the unit on. this is very annoying, not to mention that it makes the energy saver mode rendered useless, because the fan runs so much, your not saving anything. I was very disappointed with this unit after installing, and though I have had great luck with lg products in the past, this one has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. send this one back to engineering !
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We were seeking an alternative to central air and were very pleased by this products performance. Cools our entire 1st floor quickly. Product is pretty heavy. Having two people to install is very helpful. Happy we chose this unit!

This product works great, is very quiet in operation and is a real money saver. I greatly recommend this product to anyone looking for a window air unit. the remote is an added feature that is great. you can change the setting from across the room.

This a durable and efficient Air Conditioner

Let me say this. This is the third LG room air conditioner we have bought. One small one for a back room, which is still working after many years, and two of these large 24,000 for the rest of our home. We have been quite satisfied with its performance over other ones we have had. So personally I believe that it is a good buy if you need one of these type Air Conditioners. I would only recommend to the company that they offer an alternative to the economical setting so that the air conditioner does not turn on and off so often, or to allow the user to program it the way they want. The other is to work on noise reduction. The quieter the better. Otherwise the AirConditoner was easy to install, worked well right away, and now is cooling down our home here in Florida very nicely. We had occasion to have to call support and I must say they were courteous, helpful, and very efficient with our need. So I would recommend this product to any person that needs a room air conditioner.

We bought this same model 2 years ago, and had problems with mold (not the product's fault).
I like the new filter and the clean filter option. Cools a 1000 foot space easily.

This air conditioner is energy efficient and easy to use control panel. Keeps the rooms cool. Very quiet too. It is a good looking unit.
