Not so good for Cappuccino

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had no luck with getting a creamy cappuccino. Tried even to mix milk with cream. The milk Frother only mixes the milk with hot water, dilutes the milk and hardly any foam.
This is a new machine with about 2 times used. All is cleaned and in good order.
Tried different milk - same thing.
No where near as the nice pictures in the sales brochures.

For a high end machine and price, I would of expected some parts that are stainless steel instead of a look of stainless but actually plastic.

Adjustable coffee strength is an important feature that Saeco got right. When using milk carafe, a small amount of water is dispensed before the milk foam, this can thin down the beverage depending upon what you're making. Bean hopper and water tank are a bit small but not really a problem. The weekly cleaning procedure for the milk carafe is very fussy and tedious but important. An on screen count down feature for the coffee grounds waste container would be handy. The drip tray fills quickly, not really a problem but does require frequent emptying. Overall, on par with previously owned machines (other brand). The included printed manual does not fully correspond to the screen display, a bit annoying - manual should be updated

Warm watery coffee

When you star spending that kind of money on a cappuccino machine, you expect a high quality result! This model only comes with the integrated milk carafe option which only generates warm milk and very watery, barely there froth! I will be returning mine and opt for a model that has the manual milk frothing option!

Not what I expected

Macchiato is warm, cappuccino is better, but often times I add espresso to get hotter drinks with more coffee although I am not a fan of strong coffee.
I had to request a new milk carafe within 2 weeks after the purchase as I could not disassemble it for cleaning. I have not tried to clean my new carafe yet.
I used to have a Nespresso machine and it was very easy to use and it required descaling only once in a while. I did not expect that I would have to clean Saeco every week and then do deeper cleaning monthly. Not convenient and one needs to buy cleaning agents as well.

Overall I like this product, the espresso tastes good and it is pretty easy to use. There are some quirks that should be fixed like you have to wait to put your cup under the milk dispenser until the water that comes out is finished which is annoying, and the big tray fills up often and is big to get to the sink. Other than that I really like it.
Pros: yummy quick espresso drinks
Cons: water comes out of milk frother
