Solid Unit

Easy setup. Solid durable unit for the price. Does exactly what is says and nothing more. For those looking for an entry level camera that is easy to use and basic....this is it. I recommend it verses the higher end more expensive units for basic security.

Works as intended

Downloaded the online guide and rigged up a few around the property with a WiFi extender. Guide gave some good suggestions. Impressed with day night videos. Battery life not quite a month but too much an issue because they don't take long to fully recharge. Thumbs up.

Love this camera. The microphone is a great feature. The only thing it's missing is a speaker but that is not a deal breaker...it would only be icing on the cake.

Very easy to install. App is good and again easy to navigate. When it’s very sunny the alerts do increase due to the heat. The only reason I’ve gave it 4* is the WiFi distance even in lin rod sight is not so good but still work. One thing the developers need to update is the signal strength to be displayed within the app when selecting the WiFi as this would be most useful when locating the camera. Overall not a bad camera.

Battery Life

I have four cameras and have had them for nearly 7 months. Two of them will no longer hold any charge at all. Can the batteries be replaced?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No, the batteries are not able to to be replaced. However, if the cameras were purchased 7 months ago then you should be within the Swann 12-month warranty. We recommend speaking with our customer support team in order to set up a warranty claim.

OK camera, appalling battery life

The camera is ok, reasonable picture, misses first movements though. Battery life is very bad, with detection/alerts switched off battery struggling to last much more than 30 hours.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor wifi range

Unfortunately this unit appears to have very poor wifi range and also takes forever to connect to live view on the app even though resolution settings are set to minimum. All in all a little disappointing.

The camera has a wireless range of up to 65ft. We recommend keeping the camera as close to the router as possible. Also, the number of walls between the camera and the router may affect the wireless range.
