I have installed the security camera at my front door and the expanded view it gives is awesome. I can see my driveway, down my sidewalk and down the street as well. The magnetic mounting piece is great and allows for easy disconnect from the camera when it needs to be charged. Would definitely recommend this product to friends and family!

Terrible cctv never can connect via app a waste of money now sitting in a drawer and expensive my cheap China works better

Shocking!!

Would not recommend to anyone! The batteries wont charge past 55% they struggle to pick up wifi even though every other device gets wifi perfect, even the camera that is 5 feet away won't go over 27% signal. So many App issues is not even funny. Complete waste of time! Will be returning them ASAP.

It is possible the unit has exceeded its operating temperature which can result in damage to the unit. Please speak with our support team to begin troubleshooting.

Easy to use - great app

Had the cameras for a few months now. The batteries only last about 6 weeks in real world usage - which is fine for me. Just means I need to re-charge the batteries 8 times a year - no big issue. I have one that is in a very hard spot to get to but I have that connected to a Swann solar panel - I haven't had to recharge it yet - the solar panel even recharged over winter with not that much sun.
Images are clear. Alerts come through within 20 - 30 sec - even works with my Apple Watch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do not last

Purchased 4 of these cameras 6 months ago and have the following points to make;
- Battery life is much better on some than others. I have 2 cameras that now only last 2 days and thats with them only being active to movement during the night. My best camera will last 5 days located on the front of house (facing road) and actively recording an average of 5 clips per day. Cameras average 4 days in total
- recharge time for each camera is 4+hours
- Some cameras just decide to go offline which require a hard reset and re-pairing. A process that is not a quick one
- The app is pretty good but can be quite buggy and crashes often.
Given the weekly charge and re-mounting duties for these cameras I will most likely go for hard wired cameras soon. Well... as soon as all my camera eventually die anyway which is likely not too far away at the current rate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We would like to recommend that the units always be within their operating temperature. Exceeding these temperatures can result in permanent damage to the battery within the unit. Dead Battery after 8 months

It wont charge past 55% and it only lasts a day. Since I cant even change the battery it is now garbage in a landfill. What a disappointment. I wont be buying Swann products again. A complete waste of money.

Swann smart security

Be aware if you are planning on buying these rubbish cameras , I had two and they have changed the app and you are made to try and connect to a new app but with no success after three hours , I have been out today and purchased two Ring cameras which straight off the bat are 200 times better than these stupid low quality rubbish cameras. I plan on making a YouTube video of these things going under a sledgehammer. People don’t waste your money on these substandard so called cameras

Useless expensive paperweights

I bought 4 cameras about two years ago. Have had constant issues with each camera.
Two of my cameras batteries do not work at all, as soon as the USB is disconnected, they shut down. Can't replace the batteries.
All cameras are having connectivity issues. They rarely connect to the app, won't wake up from stand by mode, or won't connect at all. I have hard reset, reset routers, upgraded routers, added extenders, changed wifi password, followed all the troubleshooting advice from Swann, and still have issues. Only 1 camera connects regularly. Even a post to support regarding these issues took a month to reply, only to suggest things that I have already stated I did in the opening support request
Hardly considered a security device. Now these cameras are just as good as dummy cameras. EXPENSIVE LEMONS
Don't waste your money

Swann offers a 30 day return period where you are able to test the unit and return for a refund if not found suitable. Swann offers a 1-year warranty provided a copy of your receipt or 18-months with valid registration. Your camera can detect movement of a person up to 32ft / 10m from the camera when on the highest True Detect Motion Sensitivity settings. More intense heat sources (e.g. vehicles) may detect a little further away and less intense heat sources (e.g. pets/small animals) may need to be a little closer before they are detected. The range/sensitivity of the motion sensor can be adjusted via the True Detect Motion Sensitivity settings bar in the app. Outside of warranty time frames, it is difficult for us to cover your replacement at no extra cost.
