Excellent video

This camera is motion activated , so when armed it only operates when it detects, or you can watch it live. The video is clear and crisp, and it's perfect for my needs. It is aggravating to get set up

Very bad batteries

I purchased this camera in February of 2019. Battery held charge for a good month and a half. All of the sudden in November battery life went to 4 days. No difference is usage. Now the unit will only hold a charge for a few hours - in standby! It would be appreciated if you had a fix for the battery problem without buying a new one.

Thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your most recent experience with our Swann Wire-Free Smart Security Camera. The internal battery cannot be replaced as this would require breaking open the camera case which would affect the IP65 weatherproof seal.
A lithium battery has a typical life span of 500 cycles, meaning that you can recharge the battery 500 times before its performance becomes 20% lower than when the battery was new.
Based on the information provided, your camera may have been operated outside of its operating temperature which may have lead to permanent damage.

Terrible product

Definitely don't buy this product. Camera battery only last 4 days. Have to Re pair all the time and then it just stops working. Half the time it didn't record. And definitely dosnt keep recording if internet is down as opposed to what it says it's supposed to do. This product is useless and unreliable as security

In order to preserve battery life, this camera is designed to be in a sleep state for most of the day, only waking to record when the PIR sensor detects a warm moving object. This ensures that you only get relevant recordings and push notifications, rather than hours of wasted footage with nothing happening. If this type of camera was able to continuously record, the battery would be flat in a matter of hours.
Swann offers many other wired security camera kits that are able to offer continuous recording to large hard drives that are designed for this purpose.

Good value for money ...............

Bought my first SWWHD-INTCAM-UK over a year ago to monitor front door. After about 2 months, bought a solar panel to save keep taking it down and charging it. I have been really impressed with the system, quality and reliability, that a week ago, I ordered another camera/solar panel set up to cover front of house.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery life doesn’t last

Hi i like the quality of this camera when it actually works. Our issue we have is having to continuously charge the devices it only seems to last the day. We’ve adjusting sensitivity settings to pick up less motion and yet it still seems to drain battery life. Bit disappointing since our main cameras are Swann and never failed us once. Tried everything but giving up on this one.

Dont work Dont buy

I have done the app upgrade and now have two cameras that don't work ....complete waste of money and extremely frustrating to set up...avoid like the plague is my advice

useless not wireless

not user friendly, does not last the 3-4 weeks more 3-4 hours, difficult to operate, difficult to navigate through app, if you're lucky enough to get a live feed video for more than a few seconds before it shuts down. waste of money. not happy.

We are sorry to hear about your most recent experience with our Wire-Free 1080p Smart Security Camera. in order to preserve battery life, this camera is designed to be in a sleep state until motion is triggered or you connect from the app. From sleep mode, it may take 15-20 seconds for your camera to wake up and to establish a live connection between your phone and the camera. Our development team is already working on ways to reduce this connection time and we will continue to release updated apps and/or firmware to improve the performance of the Smart Security Camera and SAFE by Swann app as they become available.
The battery will give you up to two months of normal use. Note that high sensitivity, frequent access from the app, and high numbers of event detection can impact the life of each charge and should be carefully considered when locating and setting the camera. Note also that extreme cold will reduce the effectiveness of the battery.

Have to charge it every 2 weeks, doesn’t open live view when you want it to, extremely slow, would stay away and stick to an arlo or something wired in.
