Great TV at an excellent price

We have been using this TV for almost 5 months now and we have no complaints at all--just enjoyment. The picture quality is very high quality. The audio is okay with the built-in speakers but we got a surround system soundbar to upgrade the audio. Unfortunately, it seems this model (like many other models I heard) does not support 5.1 surround sound pass-through via HDMI with my surround system but we use a workaround by connecting my blu-ray player and computer directly to the surround system.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the features that let you adjust the sound and picture according to the type of show you are watching. I also like that LG sends you emails that lets you enjoy your product to its fullest.

Not, a smart tv, but for a basic led tv it has enough features for me and for anyone else not looking for the smart tv hype.
Over all, good features, great picture easy to use.

This product I had to return once

I had bought this tv and the first time I got it had a black line down the right hand side of the screen. So I returned it for another one hopeing it would be better than the last one . The second tv I got had a large cloudy area on the bottom right hand of the tv I love the screen size but am disappointed in the quality and how many issues I am haveing with this model tv.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the picture quality!

We have owned this tv approximately two months. The picture is exceptionally beautiful. The only issue is that the closed captioning option in the settings is grayed out. I am hearing impaired and need this feature.

Excellent value for a very big 55 inch TV. Great picture quality. Fast refresh for sports. Haven't really noticed any motion blur. Colors are great. Doesn't include all the extra bells and whistle features that comes with a smart TV connected for the web which makes for a much more affordable lower price. Very easy to use. Enough HDMI connections for a cable box and bluray player.

Ideal for the minimalist

Like previous reviews have stated, this TV is perfect for those people who want a solid TV without all the latest technological perks. The picture is vibrant, clear, viewable from a very wide angle and is great with motion that you might see when watching sports or fact-paced movies/shows.
The sound from the built in speakers is average, nothing more, but if you want to improve on that then you should probably expect to have some extra money to purchase a sound bar or a surround-sound set.
There is no bluetooth or wifi connectivity. There is no smart functionality that will let you surf the Internet or watch Youtube. There is no 3D option. This is not what the TV is about and is therefore perfect for my needs. If you do want these in a TV, there are plenty other LG models to look at but at least with this model I feel like my money has been well spent.
Finally, to top it off, the TV itself looks very stylish even when turned off! The close-to-edge screen and the thin-but-stable legs give it a look that's pleasing to the eye.
Overall, I am very happy to purchase this product and it's a great package for someone who wants a quality product, without all the extras.

My first-ever big flat-screen TV: very pleased!

Many review sources pointed me toward LG and this model range for value and quality. And they were right! It arrived safely packaged, easy to install, rich with features. The unexpected bonus has been a series of very useful emailed lessons from LG on other features and uses, adding value and deepening my respect for the brand. One more thing: the sound is so good that I may not add a soundboar! Thank you LG!
