A great laser printer

Putting it simply, this is a great printer. It is fairly easy to set up wirelessly. It's nice to be able to print and fax from your computer. This is a top-notch all in one machine that has so far been totally reliable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I use this machine on a daily basis. Wireless printing was so easy to set up. Copying is excellent as is faxing. Haven't used the scan feature yet. However, I had an older version of this model and the scan feature was great so I'm sure this one will be, too. The only reason I bought the new one is for the wireless printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

lacking in many ways

I was satisfied with it until it messed up and will not print properly. The printed pages have dots all over them and the envelope printer stopped working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased this to replace a much earlier Brother multifunction. Very satisfied. The features and performance have improved considerably (and I liked the older Brother). Very rapid warm up is a plus. Also, the ability to use the MFC as a scanner wirelessly. The older one needed to be connected by USB cable to scan which was inconvenient for my purposes. Duplexing, etc. And the newer, much more powerful model is a good bit less expensive than the older one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Pleased With Upgrades

I have had past versions of the same type of printer from Brother and wasn't completely pleased. This is what I like on this machine:
1. Envelopes--printed wrinkle-free
2. Heavy weight paper printing
3. PaperPort 12 software is amazing
4. Wireless networking
5. Speed
6. Auto-correct on scanner
Haven't set up for FAX yet, but look forward to a reliable machine.

Good, but not as good

Overall I am satisfied with the product, however, there are a couple of things that are not as good as the Brother 8840 that the 8910dw replaced.
The 8840 had a depression at the front of the output tray that made it easy to grab the paper from the tray. The new machine does not have that feature and it is more difficult to remove the paper from the tray.

The old machine allowed for duplex copying with page size reduction while printing on both sides of the paper. I was able to copy up to 8 sheets onto one page front and back. I have not been able to figure out how to do that on the new machine. I would appreciate some guidance on doing that.
