Excellent Professional Printing

Easy installation & setup. Professional print quality and speed. I print approx., 8000 pages a month dual tray legal documents. Very economically priced in comparison to the performance. I love it

Best High speed mono printer in the market

I have a small business which depends on the copier a great deal (10,000 pages per week.) The MFC 8910DW is a workhoorse, prints and scans at the highest ppm rate in the business, not including the very expensive $5,000 office copiers out there. It saves me time and lots and lots of money.
I would give this 10 stars if I could.

Some reservations

This is a substantial, well-built printer but the print response time is much slower than my previous printer. Another thing I don't like is that when it idles for just a very short time, it goes to sleep and there is no sign of life....no light or anything to let me know it is still on. I have inadvertently left it on for days at a time, which I don't like to do. Is there a "fix" for this? There have also been times when it hasn't printed from Windows 10 and I've had to use another browser to get it to print. Other than these things, I like the printer.

Superior to my old Laserprinter. I searched for an all-in-1 laser printer, copier, FAX, scanner that had a legal size scan bed since I deal with a lot of legal documents and this is the one I chose. It has been great! So glad I got rid of the old one and replaced it with this super fast machine that meets all of my needs.

Printer Works good

Replaced an older Brother printer. Printer was easy to setup. This printer seems quite a bit noisier than the previous model that I had. Duplex printing works great.

A balance of costs & quality

Now I wash a kit and instruction to replace the fuser, light & rollers were offered. I know that the parts can be purchased but the take down and replacement needs more detail.

Another Brother Improvement

I've used Brother MFC's for years. My last one is an 8890 that I still use for large copy jobs until it quits altogether. In three major areas the 8910 is a substantial improvement. The most significant is that two-sided printing/copying has no jams and is much (20% my guess) faster. Second, the 8910 prints from devices on the network using Air Print. I would have thought that a software upgrade to the 8890 might have accommodated that feature, but . . .. Third, the physical configuration of the feeder tray is improved so I can stack stuff on the device w/o worrying that I will dislodge or break the tray. One can even feed a few page document through an opening in the feeder with the tray closed, which is a significant convenience. I do not use the fax feature, but opted for an MFC because of years of positive experiences. Great products, great service. What more can one ask?
