There isn't anything negative about my Norelco Bodygroom and I recommend it for anyone, men or women. The extension handle makes it easier for my fiance to shave her legs. I'm ordering another one for her.

Great body shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just used the Norelco Body groomer today before my shower and after a good solid charge I used the body attachment and was able to shave and tidy up all areas with no nicks or any stubble. The battery life is really good and very good comfort. Will definitely be using this weekly

Inferior NiMH batteries

This is my second Bodygroomer. I bought the original when it came out many years ago. I like the products very much. I hate that they only last 1-2 years. In all of these years, Norelco is still putting NiMH batteries in these groomers. For the price they charge, i would expect a longer lifespan. Batteries no longer charging is a rampant issue and has been since they introduced the product line. My current one, a BG2040 lasted about 2 years. Do they offer a service to replace the batteries for a reasonable price? I cannot find one. When are you going to upgrade these to LiOn batteries? Every Norelco product I have purchased (3 shavers and 2 groomers) have suffered the same fate. Batteries not charging and no service to replace them. This is why I will not buy another Norelco product.

I loved using this device. It gave me a great body shave, and I was amazed at how smooth it was. I looked and felt so clean after the shave. I never got such a clean and smooth shave with any of the devices I had ever used, so far. I loved the way I looked and felt after my body shave.

good for quick work but...

This groomer can do a fast job of removing hard to get back hair as well as any other body hair but will not leave a smooth razor-sharp feel in it's wake. It gets close but not close enough to make you stop buying razors. Clean-up after every use to ensure performance makes the chore of body grooming that much difficult to bring oneself to, however in any case I could not bring myself to send it back because it is handy in some, though few, cases.
Pros: makes fast work of removing the bulk of hair
Cons: doesn't get "razor close"

Excellent trimmer!

I had a Philips BG version from 2-3 generations ago (BG 728), which was not bad, but batteries stopped charging. I bought the 5020 and the difference is huge. This trimmer is ergonomically light years ahead of the old one, fits in your hand much better, has much larger non-slip grip area and the head angle is ideal, compared to the old one. Seems to run at a greater speed as well, shaves closer.
Included handle is a game-changer, finally allowing for self-shaving of one's back.
Overall, a huge improvement of an already great previous product. Philips has a winner here.
On the downside, it lack a pouch of some sort to put all parts, charger and trimmer in.
I would recommend this to a friend!
