good body groomer but it only runs when unplugged

I am not sure why Philips doesn't offer bodygroom models that work when plugged in. All their models work only when unplugged.

Out of the box and ready to use; this really is a smart body groomer that works even before the first charge.
Everything works well and the extension feature is excellent. I also agree that a pivot head would add to the performance but for value and functionality this groomer is a top performer.

Battery Life

This is the first cordless groomer I have purchased. I have had this product for about three years and have been pleased with it overall. I have let the battery run out before recharging - per the instructions. However, in the last couple of months the battery has had trouble holding its charge. I'll use it for a few minutes and the low charge indicator will come on and I'll have to put it back on the charger. Just today, after fully charging the battery (light was fully green), when I tried to turn it on, the unit would not turn on and the orange low charge light flashed (I'm actually recharging it now as I write this review). Unfortunately, the unit does not allow for replacing the battery. Since this is the first groomer I've owned, I do not know if this is typical after three years of use, but I wanted to include these comments none the less.

The device itself worked well while functional, however in only roughly two years of moderate use and being well cared for, (I take care of all of my electronics) the device no longer charges.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

HUGE Time Saver!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bodygroomer has cut my grooming time in half. Mainly bought it for the back attachment. Also, I've used it several times, and I haven't had to recharge yet, so the battery is great! Super easy to use. Kudos to the product development team!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Bodygroom does a good job of removing the hair off my chest and back. I really like the extra fold out handle that comes with the Bodygroom which makes it easy to use when shaving the hair on my back. The Bodygroom seems like an overall quality product and I would recommend it to anyone who has some chest or back hair they would like to keep trimmed off.
