I've had this body groomer for 5 years now. Use it regularly, still acts like brand new.... well I was getting my legs trimmed before getting them fully shave, and I drop this mfr in the toilet... only to learn it's showerproof and still going.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent All-Over Groomer!

I love using the Philips Norelco Bodygroom! This is the first electric shaver I've ever had, and let me just say, it has set the bar really high for all others! I won't ever ever buy any other electric shaver; I'll just buy the newer version of this one if/when it wears out! This shaver is incredible in every way! I just now had to replace the shaver head after owning & using my shaver for about two years now!
The last thing I'll say about this shaver is, If you're thinking about getting a new Electric Razor now or in the near future, Look no further than the Philips Norelco Bodygroom! You won't be disappointed!
Pros: easy to use, low/no maintenance, competitively priced, delivers a great all-over shave, back attachment
This is my second Philips Body shaver. My last one lasted about 5 years before I used it to death. Although not intended for it, I also use it to shave my head. I use this for my arms, back and chest, and it works great. Even on "private areas" just with a lot more care. Even the wife uses it for private areas. Easy to handle, fast to charge.
Pros: easy to handle
Cons: blades are a bit sharp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this body shaver. I have issues with other shavers since they leave bumps and pull the hair. This shaver didn’t do that. It was smooth. The attachment is perfect for my back. I definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a body shaver.

Ok trimmer but attachments are annoying

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.
I thought overall the Bodygroom was a decent body trimmer.
Positives: --- * It charged quickly
* The attachment heads (for different hair lengths) work either way you move (i.e. you don`t have to take off the attachment and turn it around if you change directions of shaving)
* The extension arm is easy to attach, use, and was surprisingly useful even when not shaving my back
* With no attachments on, it was very effective without any nicks or getting caught on a hair
* Instructions were clear, easy to follow, and the shaver itself is very straight-forward. Hit the power button and you`re rollin.
Negatives --- * Having different attachment heads can be a pain. They are free floating, so I will almost certainly lose one or two of them. I`ve used groomers that have an adjustable guard that moves up and down depending on the length of hair you want and I prefer that so much more than the different attachments.
* The attachments kept catching the hair. This almost sounds like a positive, but it was frustrating because as you shaved, hair would collect right under the attachment effectively blocking the shaver from getting to new hair. In short, I had to keep cleaning out the hair as I went which was a bit annoying.
* It took quite a few strokes to get the hair down significantly. This may have been due to the attachments, but it seemed like I had to go across the same area at least ten times to get a good shave to the length I wanted. Maybe I just had too much hair in comparison to what it was designed for? That was a bit frustrating. However, without any attachments, the bare shaver worked great! If I wanted to go hairless in certain areas instead of just a trim, I imagine it would have been much quicker and more effective.
Overall, I thought the Bodygroom worked as well if not a bit better than other body hair trimmers I`ve used. However, the attachments slow down progress and can be a bit annoying to keep cleaning out every few strokes. If this trimmer didn`t have the attachments and instead had one adjustable head that could change lengths like other trimmers, I think the extension, sleek design, and quick charging would make it a really great trimmer.
