Overall excellent trimmer, reach your entire back!

Does a great job at shaving broad areas (chest, etc) that are too big for a typical beard trimmer. The battery life seems to be fantastic. I`ve used mine a few times over about two weeks and have yet to plug it in again after the initial charge. The handle might appear to be a gimmick, but it works well and I had no trouble reaching any spot on my back.
I received my Bodygroom 3500 as a review sample. I`d still be happy with it if I`d bought it.
Rather than say there are `cons` against it, I`d say to consider the purpose of the Bodygroom 3500. It`s not a precision trimmer. You won`t shave your face or trim up your sideburns with it. It`s not an all-in-one barber`s toolkit and I can`t see it being used on your head at all unless you`re shaving it clean. The included guards for trimming attach firmly and stay on with no problem. If I have a complaint, it`s that there`s a big jump between the longest and next-longest guards. I used the Bodygroom 3500 to trim my chest without shaving it clean. The longest guard was a little too long, but the next-longest was definitely too short. Strictly a personal preference, and it does an overall excellent job.

I received a free sample of the Norelco Bodygroom 2500 in exchange for agreeing to write a review.
This razor is like no other one that I have ever used. It was so easy and pain-free to trim my chest, back and arms. The 3 different guards included came in handy as well. The back extender worked perfectly for hard to reach areas. I also, let a couple buddies use it and they loved it. I would definitely recommend it to other people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Phillips norelco bodygroom 3500 is awesome I like that I can shave in the shower if I need to it’s waterproof and it charges easy and fast and it is the perfect shape to shave my back chest and arms and legs very easy and the charge lasts along time it’s a really great shaver well worth it now I always have smooth skin

It has simple settings, with the turnknob instead of pressing buttons to change the length of trim, I have had issues in the past in which the guard would slip because I applied too much pressure so the trim length would change while I was trimming, but have not had this such issue with the 3500.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. And it's the bee's knees! In the past I've used a shaver or beard trimmer to get rid of and manage unwanted body hair, but the Norelco Bodygroom 3500 is one unit that does a better job all by itself. First and foremost is that it doesn't cut me up like a razor or my beard trimmer does. The Norelco Bodygroom 3500 has rounded cutting trimmer tips so they do not stab you! I feel this is the main selling point of the Norelco Bodygroom 3500 and why it is superior to the alternatives. It cuts very well when dry (the cutting head is a combo trimmer and shaver), but when the hair is wet (it can be used in the shower) it takes a few passes to capture the hair. That's just the nature of water. It works best on hair under an inch long if you want to shave at skin level. To cut hair down to size but not shave off completely use the included trimmer guards that snap on.
The Norelco Bodygroom 3500 is lightweight, comfortable to hold and not too noisy. To shave hard to reach areas it comes with a folding detachable extended handle. Click the Bodygroom in and now shaving your back is possible. Some control and shaving efficiency suffers while using the extended handle but without it some people might not be able to reach all areas. Also, the end of the extended handle does not have any rubber grip on it and becomes 'slippery when wet'. So, I put a few strips of skateboard grip tape on it which was helpful.
One thing I didn't like was the charge only lasted an hour. There's a low battery light indicator but it was still hard to gauge when the charge would run out. It charges quickly (30 min for half charge) but when I'm rushing in the morning it still is not fast enough. I wish it had a screen showing battery charge percentage or how many minutes are left. What I ended up doing was to basically charge it after each time I used it. It does not work while plugged in (it only charges) to prevent you from using it in the shower while it is plugged in. This is a good safely feature, but being the battery is not user replaceable, when the battery dies (as all do) you'll need to buy a new unit. The rubber membrane over the on/off button feels a bit thin and I can see it tearing after heavy usage. It'll still work but it won't be water resistant anymore.
The Norelco Bodygroom 3500 is great for daily or weekly use on all (even private) areas of the body. I did not experience any skin irritation and it is an easy to use. Of course, don't use it on a sunburned area of the body, guess how I figured that one out... I use it almost every day for quick touch ups which barely take any time. I'm never going back to my prehistoric ways again!

Cons: only 1 hour charge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Opening the packaging and looking at the razor it looks sleek. It cuts great but if you are wanting a smooth cut this is not for you, you will still feel some stubble. That and I can't figure out how to remove the head part to clean out the clogged hair other then that its a good product.
