Good Enough

While this product claims to get a close shave on body hair I have to disagree. Without using any attachments there was probably a millimeter of hair left no matter how I stretched, pulled, or straightened my skin. Very short hair against someone else's skin is like sandpaper. However, as the shave was not super close my skin was not damaged or left feeling irritated, but I did have to follow up with a manual razor for a close shave. Overall if you are not looking for a super close shave or you have light hair this is good enough to look cleanly shaved, without skin irritation. You could probably use the shaver everyday without issue.
I received this product as part of the Philips testing program.
Pros: skin not irritated
Cons: not a close shave

I used it only once and the 3 inserts are a design defect. They do not trim evenly. The price does not justify the product as a no name $10-$20 trimmer would do a better job at it. To be fair without using any of the inserts the product is working perfectly.

Great except BAD for nose hairs

Trying to trim my nose hair but it does a lousy job he can’t get in and have the trimming hedges too far back. Do not buy it if this is the reason why do you want it you want to trim your body here for an hour to shave your head fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product shares a number (5000) with another product that is a more conventional trimmer. I opened the package and it said it was not for use "above the neck" so I took it right back. Thankfully, the other product was there. It was a Philllps Multigroom 5000. Much different rating for that product.
I tried it once before I took it back and it totally pulled hairs on my beard. That's when I checked the owners manual. But, oddly, some of the Multigroom reviews said the same thing. My Multigroom did not pull at all. So I think that some of the Multigroom reviews are from people who may have made the same mistake I did.
So, Phillips-Norelco, you have a great line of beard and hair trimmers. Don't confuse people with similar model numbers.

I have a lot of hair on my back and shoulders and the body groomer removes it quickly and easily and makes me feel cleaner if you have excess body hair you should consider trying one today.
Pros: easy to use, doesn't pull on hair
Cons: handle could be a little longer
