Great except the deal-breaker control lock system

Love so many things about this range. But the control lock system is a joke. If you turn on the control lock, the oven turns off! What is the good of that? I have kids (and even if I didn't, the touch screen is so sensitive that even my body touching it as I stand by the stove is enough to trigger the controls). So I'd like to be able to lock the controls after I have something in the oven to prevent anyone from messing with the temp, turning it up too high or turning it off accidentally while something is baking, or turning off the timer. But you can't actually use the control lock while continuing to use the oven! So basically the control lock is *only* to prevent unintentionally turning it on when you need it to stay off. Useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just got it - looks good love the dual fuel! 6 burners?!! Crazy! Bakes evenly - liked the slide out rack feature.
My only criticism is that it says it is at temp after preheating but it still was not - I used oven thermometers to check this and it was 75 degrees cooler. I waited 10 more minutes and then it was up to the programmed 350 degrees and stayed there. I w

We purchased this for our new home, and I couldn't be happier with it. The GE Cafe makes meal prep a relaxing experience. Not only is it a beautiful piece in the kitchen, but it is very pleasing to the touch. The parts are solid and are comfortable to use. The touch pad is quick to respond, and I really like the "lock" feature on it, so errant fingers cannot make accidental adjustments when locked. Even the timer sound is soothing to the ear!
Besides its physical attributes, the dual ovens are great. The upper oven is a perfect size -- not too small. I can cook a casserole in it with no concerns of burning the top. Both ovens give very even cooking temperatures. The cooktop is spacious and is a great cooking surface as well. I absolutely love my GE Cafe unit!
