Terrible Service and Poorly Made!

Original range that I purchased was deemed to be irreparable after ~3 months of attempted repairs and several visits by different GE techs who often left the range worse than when they got here.
After GE determined that my range was irreparable GE refused to replace it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the range but not it’s issues

Dual fuel, double oven range: first let me say I love this range and its features. For the price however I feel that the electronics issues and malfunctions would deter me from ever buying another GE appliance. The first range (same model) we installed in April 2021 and had multiple issues: steam, from opening the oven, caused malfunctions in the LED control/display screen. While cooking Thanksgiving dinner the oven shut off multiple times, for example. Also, when a burner is being used on a low setting all the other burners will try to ignite at the same time- resulting in audible clicking and visible d at parking of the igniters. I caught all these things on video which is way after multiple repair attempts GE finally replaced my stove in November The same issues also occurred with my replacement range, although not as severely. I will see the customer service was good and they replace my range after multiple repair attempts however even the replacement is having issues I have just not decided whether to keep it and deal with them as they are not as severe as with the first range.replacement for the mee we functioning first one)When a burner is being used on a low setting all the other burners will try to ignite at the same time. Having the same issues, although not as severe. The oven has only shut off once, But the display and controls are occasionally affected by steam and the igniter still malfunctions the same way when a burner is in use in low. It’s a shame because when it is working properly it is awesome and we are very happy with it however the value is lacking with the problems at hand. These issues have deterred me from ever buying another GE appliance, at least not a computerized one. Why can’t a manufacturer make more non-computerized models?! As with cars, computers are the Achille’s heels since they are not easily nor inexpensively fixed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

However, we're sorry to hear you needed to get your first unit replaced, and you are facing some similar issues. We understand that would be slightly concerning, and we'd love to help you.

It is normal to hear multiple burners click when only one ignites. Always use the LITE position when igniting the tip burners, and make sure the burners have ignited. If the burner igniters are clicking in the OFF position, make sure the knob is turned completely to the OFF position and the knob has popped back out. If it is still clicking when not in use, we recommend scheduling service so a certified GE Appliances technician can diagnose and repair your unit in no time. You can schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or online here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm.

It is normal to see steam or vapor coming from the oven vent when baking, roasting, convection baking, convection roasting or broiling. It is also possible to see some smoke from the oven vent depending on what is in the oven. The oven vent is located near the control panel area on many Free-Standing Ranges and Wall Ovens. So, the steam or vapor from the oven vent will be seen near the control panel. You may see an increase in visible steam and vapors. The air temperature in the room as well as amount of moisture content in the food in the oven has an influence on this as well.

Rivals my previous professional range

I prefer this range over my previous professional range. The burners are just as high-powered, more easily controlled, and the simmer feature is better. I've also used the integrated griddle much more than I thought I would. I love the versatility of the two ovens. The small upper oven preheats so quickly and is perfect for one sheet pan. My one complaint is that the front-panel touch controls are so easily activated. They're prompted when the upper oven is baking and opens, and sometimes when I'm standing at the stove. I have to remember to lock the controls, which is inconvenient if I have multiple dishes going.

Features plus styling

We were looking for a better dual fuel range with double oven. This one fit the bill perfectly. Love the fact that all of the controls are on the front of the unit, and that it comes with an extra cast iron grill cover for the stove top.

The dual fuel range is awesome and the double ovens have been great for flexibility in cooking different items at the same time. It’s my "perfect world" stove! I love the stove's finish for both it’s looks and it’s ease of cleaning. Definitely recommend this stove.

I am so happy with my new range. I had to spend a lot of money on my kitchen to get this since I was switching from a 30 year old all electric downdraft range but it has been worth every cent. I have yet to explore all the features; there are so many!
