Great grill but poorly made

I bought this Oklahoma Joe grill a few years back. I like it but a few days after i bought it, the legs were falling off. the screws had stripped or the legs didn't sit well. whichever it was, i could't move my grill without holding the legs so now it just sits in one place. it would of been such a pain to return it back to the store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this smoker! Maintains a constant 225-250 and is perfect for smoking ribs, or Boston butts when you maintain the firebox every 2 hours or so. Can't wait to do a brisket in it!

Bad Lid Sealing

I bought this smoker to replace my old worn out one. I smoke ribs, brisket, pork butts, sausage and chicken at least twice a month. Three problems noted;
Lid sealing on firebox and smoke chamber, I will be adding a high temperature fiberglass seal around both doors.
Damper on firebox doesn't stay where you put it, wants to close completely, I need to add spring washers to bolt and double nut.
Handle for moving should have cotter pins to keep handle from popping out when moving smoker.
Overall quality is good, but not exceptional.

We bought this smoker on the 4th of July 3yrs ago and have had nothing but great success.....Xmas Eve parties we have smoked turkey and ham. This year we are doing 2 turkeys. Need to learn more about smoking bit this product is awesome. Need to keep covered it does rust if left uncovered......love it

It Smokes

I've owned off set smokers for years now and although this smoker looked HD. Once I started puting it together I noticed lots of issues to come. It leaks like crazy. Theres alot of small cheap hardware that holds this thing together. Will have to weld all the seams and legs solid. Overall it would be a good 5 plus year smoker but to make it fit and ship in a small package ruined it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchase this product one year ago as an upgrade to my first Char-Broil Deluxe smoker...and I have never been more satisfied with the Longhorn and my Deluxe...

Decent smoker. Only issue was paint peeling off fire box during seasoning. Contacted customer service and was sent a replacement.
