GREAT FOR EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO COOK OR SMOKE!

I Bought this to Grill on but have made some mods to it and not I do 12 to 17 hour meat smoking and it works great. Some of the mods are lock downs on the lid and baffals inside to carry the heat and smoke evenly under the meat. I also added some fire brick under the baffals. They help keep the heat to temp and I use less wood and coal for long use like smoking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great smoker!

Bought this a few weeks ago and since then smoked ribs and chicken and grilled burgers, brauts, and vegetables. Temperature has been easy to regulate and maintain, even when smoking for over 4 hours. Paint on part of the firebox burned off the first time I used it. Some high temp touchup paint fixed that problem. There may have been some oil on the bare steel prior to factory paint. Attaching the legs was a problem. There should have been nuts welded to the inside of the legs to receive the supplied bolts. There were no nuts and the predrilled holes in the legs / smoker body didn't line up. Twenty minutes with a drill and a tap & die set fixed that but this is a quality control / factory defect that shouldn't have reached the store shelves.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great smoker and great size for the price (even in CAD $)!! Well built, very heavy, Fast and good price shipping! The fire box is huge, a 16 inch log fits easely in it!. Even if you have some experience using offset smoker, this big one will need a little bit of practice. The size of the cooking chamber and fire box needs a learnig curve to manage the temp and the amount of combustible. Doesn't need too much mods, only some gasket and son hi-temp sealicone too seal everything in place. The paint is a bit of a issue. You have to keep the fire away from the sides of the smoker or else the paint will peel off. I recommend using a fire basket in the fire box and larger charcoal grills in the smoker chamber if you want to use it like a bbq. Some touch up on the paint will have to be made down the road. But the paint is not a big problem, it's easy to fix! Dont hesitate, pull the trigger on it and be sure to have a friend with you when it's delevired ... you will need some help to move this beast! I recommend this product (even if I would like to be the only guy around having one!!!)

I bought this smoker due thinking it would be great. It was heavy duty, had plenty of room and just looked all around solid. But then when I used it the first time, I found that the smoker had leaks all over. The door didn't close all the way causing smoke and heat to pour out, it leaked between the connection of the chamber and firebox, it leaked at the smoke stack. The temp difference is 100+ degrees from one side to the other. The temp gauge that came with it doesn't fit right and gives inaccurate temps. I think with a few modifications I have seen others do to it, it might be great. But it's a real dud so far.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
