I had used a cheaper smoker before purchasing this Grill. What A Difference! Heavy, well made Grill. Holds heat well. My first smoking was Great. Going to add a charcoal basket and heat plate to spread the heat a little better. Great purchase! Should last a long time.

I purchased this smoker in March and have used it about a dozen times so far. It is easy to use and easy to maintain the temperature. I smoke meat, fish, vegetables and even cheese and everything comes out perfectly cooked and with that sweet smoke flavor.

Having cooked for over 25 years on a 500 gal. cooker I needed a small one for the house and could not find what I wanted until this one. My only complant is that the vent stack for the cooking area is mounted to high and to much heat is lost. The stack should at or below the level of the cooking grate. This would keep more heat in the cooking area and use less fuel or a smaller fire. As it is most of the heat goes up the stack without even comming close to the meat. I am having mine modifed. The thermometeris in the top and if you place one on the cooking grate the temp is much lower than the factory installed one. Its not even close.

To be honest this is larger than I needed. I liked that it was made of heavier metal than most other smokers I looked at. It takes quit a bit of charcoal and wood to keep the temp up. Which would be ok if using its full capacity but when cooking for 2-4 people you'll use use more charcoal and wood than if you had a smaller one. Other than that I'm satisfied.
