knobs melt in high temp

had it a few months and noticed the knobs around the burners start to melt because of the high heat. rest of the features are good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent layout / features

This GE stovetop replaces an older Sears Kenmore stovetop (garbage) that was made by GE. I love the stovetop griddle on this GE unit and the burners are well placed. The largest burner doubles as a simmer burner. I love the heavy cast iron grates.

This Cooktop is in my New Home. No WARNING burner is still on, gas continued to emit when in LOCKED position. Could Kill.
I have had GE in my other Home for 23 Years. When it locked it beeped, it wouldn't lock if burner was on! Good. New Product! BAD

I bought this a few months ago - it was a new model and there were not any reviews on it but it still was a GE Cafe and the previous reviews had been excellent so I bought. I love it! Lots of room, different size burners, comes with a griddle that worked great; easy to clean, heats evenly, knob placement is great. I am so happy with this stove top. It is AMAZING!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
