I love how beautiful this cooktop is! I’m almost afraid to cook on it cause it’s so pretty! But the meals I have made are beautiful and I love the gas lock feature!

Hello, thank you for this feedback! We are so happy that you like your cooktop overall. However, we are sorry that the cast iron griddle is difficult to clean. We certainly understand how frustrating this can be.
As far as cleaning the cast iron griddle, we suggest cleaning it with a stiff brush and hot water. We don't recommend using soap, and harsh detergents should never be used as they will remove the seasoning. You can rinse it with hot water and then dry thoroughly. After rinsing, preseason the griddle by applying a light coat of cooking oil to the griddle surface. Then, wipe off excess oil with a paper towel. Another tip is to never wash the griddle in your dishwasher or in a self-cleaning oven. I have had this cooktop installed since mid February and it looks absolutely beautiful and does a great job. It is difficult to keep clean but I was prepared for that and I don't think the ideal surface material has been created yet. My disappointment is in the knobs, they look so beautiful and I really thought they were brushed stainless but it seems that they are just coated with something that looks like a brushed stainless steel finish and two of the knob are already peeling. The strange thing is that they are the two center knobs which are not used as much as others and the cooktop was installed on Feb. 16, 2021. So disappointing. They are sending me new knobs for the ones that have peeled but if this keeps happening, after my first year is up, I will paying for the knobs myself. I would buy a better quality knob if it were available but I was not told no other knobs are available.
