Purchased just over a month ago, and knob melted

My complaint is the same as many other reviews; I only wish I had read them before purchasing. I have only had this cooktop for just over a month, and one of the far-right plastic knobs has melted. Besides this, I do like the cooktop; I think it could have been engineered better with durable knobs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheap knobs

Very disappointed in the cheaply made colored knobs. Barely over 2 years that we've had the cafe gas cooktop, and 2 of the knobs color is chipped away. Very concerned on how it is going to hold up.

Melted knobs

Stove is nice I got it cause I like tgat you can lock it. But the knobs are cheaply made and they have melted. I keep moving them around cause I can’t get more anywhere. And the lock light fell inside.

Melted Knobs

I wanted to love this cooktop but the knobs melted almost immediately. Can GE replace them with a stainless steel ones? I thought they were made of stainless steel, however, it made of cheap plastic. Also, the gap between the burners and the grates is too high and for that reason it takes a lot of time to even boil the water. Are different height grates available?

Easy to install!

essy to install, I’ve had it for a month already and no issues so far. I didn’t give it 5 because it takes longer than expected when it comes to heating up even if its gas. Looks great on my new kitchen!
