This product is GE and I trust the GE brand for quality and longevity. This particular GE Gas cooktop nobs are to close to burners and they get hot as well as the surrounding metal the nob are sitting on. that is my informative negative comment for this kitchen appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the stainless steel cooktop. The cooktop is hard to clean and scratches easily. Also the knobs don't come off to clean under them. Other than that preforms great! I love gas to cook on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Appliance was delivered with a cracked middle grate, unusable . In addition they don’t fit very well, I can see that there is going to be some surface scratches when removing and replacing the grates

Good but poor material design on knobs

Stove was missing plastics under the griddles to keep them from scratching the surface of the stove. The knobs for turning on/off were damaged and are not heat resistant, so the top of it has melted. It was a poor design to have them so close to the griddle and put plastic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
