The vent does nothing

I was hoping this range would be better then the ovens, but same problem. There is no venting to the outside. The smoke and grease just go all over the kitchen
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello! Thanks for your cooktop review. We're sorry to hear of your situation. While a vent hood is not required by GE, it is recommended. A vent hood will help to effectively remove smoke, grease, odors and moisture from the room. We do suggest you check local codes for any venting requirements.

Boils quickly!

Normally it takes me about seven minutes for my water to boil but with this new stove top it takes me about three

Easy installation and excellent features

I installed the cook top myself. It simply dropped in to the existing cut-out. The only connections were screwing in the gas line and plugging it into an outlet.
It worked immediately.. The only follow-up was applying clear silicone sealant around the edges.
Total time was less than 8 hours.
In terms of operation, it is super. The burners have a wide range of adjustment to suit pot size and cooking needs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than the older model

Bought this for a cabin we were building in the country. Had one at home and loved it. This model is a bit better because I think the grill gate is closer to the gas flame therefore the water boils faster. Does not have the power boil but you don't need it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
