Easy Installation, Quality Cooking

I purchased this cooktop during a mostly DIY kitchen reno. I was able to easily follow the instructions for drop in installation and gas line set up. The spacing of the burners allows for plenty of room to have pots and pans during busy evening of cooking. The lights on the controls and the solid construction of the grates take the cooktop to the next level. Only issue, which is to be expected with stainless, is cleanup can sometimes be a hassle. Cannot yet comment as to the longevity of the cooktop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Watch Out!

Very nice cooktop. Sad to say, two of the knobs have already been damaged due to heat. Be very careful not to let anything hot come even close to the knobs, the finish will melt!!! Knobs should probably stand, at least, no more than the height of the grates.

So far, so good. Just installed this morning. It does has a cracked grate which I will see about dealing with the warranty department. Overall a nice looking Cooktop.

Can't give this 5 stars because it scratches easily when moving the grates. Would be better if there were more rubber bumpers to prevent this from happening. Overall the burners work great.

This was a last minute replacement when having new kitchen counters put in. My previous GE Profile gas cooktop was still functioning very well after 22 years but I really wanted the continuous grate cooktop, the 5th large burner and the lighted knobs. So pleased with this cooktop! Super easy to clean, cooks very well and a quick glance before bedtime assures me that all burners are off! I couldn't recommend this more!

I love using this cooktop (with a few minuses)

My two favorite parts of the cooktop are:
1. The center, ultra-hot burner. I can boil a big a big stockpot full of water in a fraction of the time that it used to take
and
2. Once it is boiling, I can simply slide the entire pot over to the small, burner in the far right - which still has enough oomph to keep it simmering.

3. The 2nd hottest burner is still hotter than the hottest on my old Amana.
4. It is easy to use, and pretty easy to clean. The burners are sealed, so there is no soup or grease dripping into unreachable crevices.
5. The grates are heavy, and heavy duty. I don't worry about scraping off the finish as I drag pots around.
6. The lit knobs are great to remind you that you left a burner on low.
Negatives:
The knobs seem to chip easily when bumped and lose some of the "chrome" finish.

There are little rubber bumpers that keep the grates from scratching the stove surface. I've already lost one in the first couple of months. (I called service, and they sent out a set under warranty - which was great.)
