PLASTIC KNOBS MELTED

PLASTIC KNOBS ARE NOT GREAT. I thought it is stainless steel knobs but not. It melted right away . Disappointed. Can this be replaced with stainless steel by GE

Nice, but some design flaws

Nice countertop range, but knobs are cheap plastic and are higher than the grill top, and will melt if they come in contact with any hot surfaces… which is highly likely since it’s a stove top with a curved in area for the knobs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Knobs are junk and melt

The knobs are plastic and have melted in not time at all. They are junk and I would not ourc6this unit unless they were made of actual stainless steel.

The kitchen in my last house was total GE. My new house had a competitor brand until I began changing out appliances. Now with the installation of this gorgeous cooktop, this house is also total GE. The quality is evident even in the knobs. The configuration of the burners makes sense and it's easy to clean, looks great and a great addition to my kitchen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Looks Nice but within 2 weeks, Two Burners Melted

While this burner was delivered and installed and looks wonderful, I am disappointed in the quality of the cooktop range's knobs. Two knobs within two weeks have already melted when cooking on this range. The product is out of stock until February 2026 and it is noted that many others have had the same issue with this plastic knob part. I have requested warranty replacement but if they are going to melt this fast after two weeks, I'll never have a nice looking product in my kitchen.

Controls efficiency

The controls cannot stand the heat and one of mine is begining to melt. The are actually too close to the burner. Mine would need to be replaced.

I purchased this cook-top and had it installed on 5/1/2018. Today is 6/10/2018. I purchased all new GE appliances as I am selling my home and wanted to offer all new appliances. I intended to not cook on my appliances but there is a delay in listing my home for sale. I have cooked on the cook-top for less than a month to boiling water and cook eggs a couple of times. I use my outdoor grill for major cooking. I take great care to place my pans. I do not move them across the grates. Well the grates are looking horrible, losing the black coloring. Also, the enamel paint on the cook-top has what looks like bubble pits that I cannot remove. I want the appliances to look new when my house is being shown and this cook-top is not looking that great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
