cheaply made - poor quality

black metal grates scratched ( raw metal showing) after one use - frying eggs! The stainless steel is flimsy and looks cheap. It cooks fine so far.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than the 5 burner

We replaced a 5 burner GE Profile with this cooktop. It has a higher BTU main burner, and allows more pans to be used at the same time due to greater diameter of space around each burner. If you cook a lot of food at the same time, you can't beat this unit.

Very high heat allows for quick cooking and great searing of meats. Burners light easily and stay lit. Love it
