I bought this sub for my husband for Christmas and he hasn't shut up about how good it sounds since he opened it! We love love it and would recommend it to anyone!

Deep Bass

Bought to replace a HKTS16 sub that went bad and man can you hear and feel the difference! Deep bass makes watching action movies and listening to music that much more enjoyable.

Mediocre quality

It is an OK subwoofer. I got it on a crazy low sale, so it was worth the price. But overall this is a cheap sub with MSRP that is not worth it. There are better sub's from Polk or Klipsch that do a better job for lower price.
My biggest complaint is that plastic grill that is attached to the sub rattles during low frequency effects, such as blasts, engine roaring, etc. Grill is plastic, mounting pins are plastic and they don't stay in, as subwoofer works. PolyPlas woofer with its weird silver-greenish color is too ugly to keep the grill detached. So I have to remove it when watching action movies and then attach it back.

Have owned several JBL Sub in the past and this is the best sonically I have ever owned.I have this paired with JBL 580 and the 2.1 stereo sound is superb.They seem to have excellent bulid quality as well.
