Saving so much money on bubbly water

We don't really drink soda in our house but the carbonated, flavored waters are a huge hit. This is helping to get my kids drinking more water than they usually would. We've only been using the SodaStream for less than a week but it works properly and is a huge hit.

I have an AquaFizz that came with glass carafes. I love them, but they're heavy and I don't want to tote them to work. I bought these two bottles so I can grab one as I head out the door. My husband decided he likes the results of Sodastream, so I'm buying 4 more to make it easy for us to enjoy the 4-6 beverages we consume per day. We just refill them from the glass carafes.

It was a great move to purchase these smaller size bottles since we like a fresh, very bubbly seltzer each and every time. This size allows my husband to take one to work and enjoy with lunch.

Great new shape holds more ice

New shape is more than just cute! After fizzing and flavoring, I can get a few more ice cubes in than with the old cylindrical shape.(I add a little more fizz and a little more flavor, then ice to both chill & dilute it. I have an old SodaStream Genesis, and it fits fine.
Why don't the new slim 1 L bottles fit in a Genesis?? (I haven't tried them, but according to description they are a no-go.)
