[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We brought this refrigerator along with the group it came with 7 years ago. We had to replace the compressor after just 3 and 1/2 years. Now 3 and 1/2 years later the compressor is gone again. This refrigerator has been a complete disaster for us. On top of that apparently LG does not back there product. We should be receiving a new refrigerator.

This is a cabinet depth French door refrigerator. The features are excellent with ice and water through the door and a milk and beverage door. The refrigerator holds the temperature well and the interior lighting is excellent. The unit holds more than would be expected for its size and food items are easily accessible. It is attractive unit. The ice maker works well but the storage is small and we frequently run out of ice during the summer. This is ice for drinks for 2 people not entertaining. My previous LG had square or rectangular shaped ice cubes. They were much better in drinks than the crescent shaped cubes in this model. The performance of the ice maker is adequate and expected given the in-door ice maker. The space saved by the in-door unit is an advantage. This refrigerator has had a number of reliability issues. The compressor failed at about 3 years. It was replaced under warranty but we would have lost a lot of food if we didn't have a second refrigerator. The wi-fi board failed and the paddle on the door that activates the switch that dispenses water and ice broke and had to be replaced. These were not warranty items.

I have had nothing but trouble with this refrigerator. in under two years the whole thing stopped cooling and they had to come out and replace the compressor. I had my previous refrigerator decades without any major problems. I clearly have a lemon. And to top it off there are no LG repair technicians in the State of Oregon they hd to send one from another state and I had no fridge freezer for weeks.

Great Except Continuous Loud Hum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm giving this unit a 3 for only one reason. It makes an almost continuous loud high pitched noise from the back. I can hear it in other rooms. Of course, when reporting noise like this LG isn't going to do too much because frigs make all kinds of noise. I'd be happy if someone came out if only to hear it. Too bad, because we really do love our LG
