Grateful for the replacement and for the company standing behind their product. The one I had earlier had a pladtic guide clip holding the band which broke which rendered the headlamp useless because it wouldn't stay on my head. The next one had the headlamp suddenly stop working for no apparent reason. It's still too early to tell how long this one's going to last but we're keeping our fingers crossed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Everything is great except the hing!

I'm an electrician and I use this headlamp on a regular basis, since electricians have to work in dark places such as attics, crawl spaces, etc.
Everything is great about this headlamp (i.e. weight, brightness, comfort when you wear it, light focus,etc.) except one thing: the hinge. The hinge is weak. I'm a kind of person that handles tools gently and with care. Nevertheless, the hinge of this headlamp has broken on me many times.
The manufacturer should change the design of the hinge of this great headlamp and make it stronger.

I have been using the HL27 for several years around the house. Being an older guy (61) I find that I use it more the longer I live. It is very handy with the focusing beam. This is a quality piece of equipment that I will not be without!
