Amazing!

Daughter loved how she had a spot to park her barbie dream car just like at her real house. Very vibrant colors and sound quality is very good for a toy. Also comes with a lot of cool accessories.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am always skeptical of toys like this but my daughter loved it the instant I got it out and started putting it together for her to play with. She loves all the accessories and the noises it makes and plays with it for hours. The assembly was fairly easy and it was easy to move after being all put together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie Dreamhouse is appropriately named! It is everything a child could possibly dream of. The instructions are easy to follow, so don't be disheartened when you see all of the pieces. I was able to put the house together in under an hour. The time may have been longer due to the children anxiously attempting to help thinking it would make the house appear faster.
The house is well-made and very sturdy. I did not fear it toppling or shattering. It is also MASSIVE! I couldn't believe how four-feet of Barbie house could look so gianourmous!
I'm blessed with three beautiful girls. I have two younger girls and a teenager. I believe my oldest has found excuses to play with the house just as much as my younger tots do!
Another fantastic product from Mattel!

Hours of fun for those old enough for it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a little girl, I really wanted a Barbie Dreamhouse, so I was excited about getting one for my daughter for her fourth birthday. She has not been very into dolls so far, but showed some interest in Barbie. Now that she has had the house for a few days, I think she is hooked!
The box is huge, so we were a little worried about how long it would take to assemble the house, but it was not nearly as bad as we expected. The directions are basically only pictures, but the pieces were bagged in logical groups and the actual fitting together part was not difficult. The stickers were a little confusing at times, however. It took me a few minutes to figure out where a few of them went (on the food) because the diagram wasn't that clear. Overall, though, it was quite easy to put the Dreamhouse together and it took about an hour.
The accessories are cute, but some are TINY--so small that I think they will be hard for a four-year-old to keep track of. Some of the pieces also do not fit securely into the little holes in the table, etc., which is annoying, but doesn't seem to bother my daughter as much as it bothers me. Probably the most fun accessories are the ones that make sounds and can be switched around--the sink, fish tank, fan, and grill. But, my daughter said that she loves putting the little letters though the mail slot the most, which surprised me! You never know what kids will find most appealing! Of course, the elevator, garage door, and pool are also fun to play with. One small complaint is that the bed canopy/drapery tends to keep falling out of the clips and it's too hard for a little kid to fix.
Since my daughter's only Barbie does not have legs that bend, some of the furniture is impractical. We need to get one with legs that bend.
Overall, I think this is a toy that can be played with for long stretches and over several years, and that is rare with kids' toys. It seems pretty sturdy, but I'm not sure what would happen if a child was very rough with it or slammed into it while running around. Three may be a bit too young to fully enjoy it--I think it will be more fun for my daughter at age four, five, and probably older. The size and cost of the house might make it impractical for some families, but for those with the $ and space, it will probably be a big hit that keeps the recipient occupied for quite a while.
Pros: hours of entertainment
Cons: some pieces might be easily lost

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set Up: Took about 30 minutes with 2 adults to apply all the stickers and set everything up. Everything is pretty easy to set up, by popping in pieces. Needs three AAA batteries. Made of sturdy plastic and measures about 4 feet by 3 feet. Note: the shipping box displays full color pictures of the dream house (in case you want to keep it a surprise).
Features:
Three stories and seven rooms with a pop out pool, garage, and a working elevator! The rooms include a front door/entry, kitchen, bath room, pet room, dining room, bedroom (with canopy bed), walk in closet, and living room. The dream house has interactive features which include a brushing teeth sink, spinning fish tank, sizzling barbecue and spinning fan, as well as a spot to slide in your smart phone so Barbie can watch TV! It comes with a TON of accessories. My daughter's favorite were all the cute kitchen food (heart shaped pancakes!). My daughter jumped up in down in delight when she saw this awesome toy, saying "I aways wanted a Barbie house!" I definitely scored some 'Mom of the Year' points with this one. High recommend!

Ultimate Barbie Dreamhouse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughters were so excited when this arrived! It took us about 30 minutes to assemble with easy to follow instructions. We have a couple of Barbie houses already but none this big and with so much detail and accessories. This a 3 story house with 7 rooms. It has a garage that opens and closes with a lever. It has a really cool feature that the side window in the garage converts into a swimming pool. It also has a working elevator that goes from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor by moving a lever up and down. My daughters favorite feature was that you can insert a smartphone into the flat screen TV and play videos so it looks like a real TV. This dream house has a accessories (require batteries) that move and light up, there is a spinning fan, rotating aquarium, flushing toilet, grilling sounds and the sink makes water noises. It comes with over 70 accessories from toothbrushes, to silverware, to pillows and almost anything else you can think of. This is by far the most complete and detailed Barbie house to date. My daughters have already had lots of hours of play and this will be around our house for awhile because it seems very durable and good quality.
