[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What little girl doesn't love Barbie and want a Dreamhouse?!? Of course, my 4 yr old loves this! Her grandpa joking calls this the Barbie condo. This was relatively easy to put together and is rather sturdy! Due to all of the different features, my daughter enjoys playing in the different rooms. I am so glad this will be of interest for her for years to come!!

Best Dreamhouse Yet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every little girl's dream is to own a Barbie Dreamhouse at some point. When it comes to making dreams come true, this house checks all the right boxes. The house comes with 3 floors, a garage for Barbie's car(not included in the package), an elevator for Barbie to go from floor to floor and many decorative items that are added into each room. Those items include a bed, a sofa, a table with chairs, a bathtub with a sink and toilet, a kitchen set with a stove and fridge and a jacuzzi. Everything in the Dreamhouse is very beautiful and has many details. The only thing I had an issue with was the house set up. Having some of the items premade already would definitely help with the building time of the house. I took around 45 minutes to build the entire house and still had to put stickers on some of the items after I was done. Another issue is that there's a lot of small items like kitchen utensils and clothes hangers that are very small and could cause someone to choke if swallowed, so just make sure those items are not near a toddler. Overall, my daughter has had a blast playing with the house and washing the barbies in the jacuzzi. If this is going to be a gift for a child that loves Barbie, this is a must have.

Dreamy Dreamhouse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids would not let me put this together before they started playing with it. There’s a lot of pieces to it and it’s rather large (which adds to the fun) so having three kids trying to play with it while I was building wasn’t easy.
We got this for our ‘tom boy’ girl (almost 5). I don’t know if she will suddenly become interested in a lot of ‘girly’ toys, but she loves this one (and so does her 2 older brothers). They all have been playing with it every day since it’s been assembled. It’s one of those toys which becomes the center piece for other toys. The house has had all kinds of visitors other than her Barbie.
Now, if we can only find space in her room and get it out of the living room. Recommended.
Update - somehow they managed to break the elevator. I took it apart (surprisingly easy) and fixed it. They’re still playing with it over a week since we opened it.

Hours of fun for those old enough for it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a little girl, I really wanted a Barbie Dreamhouse, so I was excited about getting one for my daughter for her fourth birthday. She has not been very into dolls so far, but showed some interest in Barbie. Now that she has had the house for a few days, I think she is hooked!
The box is huge, so we were a little worried about how long it would take to assemble the house, but it was not nearly as bad as we expected. The directions are basically only pictures, but the pieces were bagged in logical groups and the actual fitting together part was not difficult. The stickers were a little confusing at times, however. It took me a few minutes to figure out where a few of them went (on the food) because the diagram wasn't that clear. Overall, though, it was quite easy to put the Dreamhouse together and it took about an hour.
The accessories are cute, but some are TINY--so small that I think they will be hard for a four-year-old to keep track of. Some of the pieces also do not fit securely into the little holes in the table, etc., which is annoying, but doesn't seem to bother my daughter as much as it bothers me. Probably the most fun accessories are the ones that make sounds and can be switched around--the sink, fish tank, fan, and grill. But, my daughter said that she loves putting the little letters though the mail slot the most, which surprised me! You never know what kids will find most appealing! Of course, the elevator, garage door, and pool are also fun to play with. One small complaint is that the bed canopy/drapery tends to keep falling out of the clips and it's too hard for a little kid to fix.
Since my daughter's only Barbie does not have legs that bend, some of the furniture is impractical. We need to get one with legs that bend.
Overall, I think this is a toy that can be played with for long stretches and over several years, and that is rare with kids' toys. It seems pretty sturdy, but I'm not sure what would happen if a child was very rough with it or slammed into it while running around. Three may be a bit too young to fully enjoy it--I think it will be more fun for my daughter at age four, five, and probably older. The size and cost of the house might make it impractical for some families, but for those with the $ and space, it will probably be a big hit that keeps the recipient occupied for quite a while.
Pros: hours of entertainment
Cons: some pieces might be easily lost

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My four-year-old has recently shown an interest in Barbies, so I jumped at the opportunity to get a Barbie Dreamhouse.
It took about 45 minutes to assemble, with the majority of that time spent making sure the decals were applied straight. The instructions were very straightforward.
My daughter has played with the house for at least an hour every day since it arrived. Her favorite features are the elevator and the bathroom. The sounds from the toilet and the sink are very realistic. Even her nine-month-old brother gets a kick out of hearing the teeth brushing noise.
This house far exceeded my expectations. It is so much more advanced than the Barbie house I had as a child. The designers thought of every detail from the pool to Barbie's tablet. You can even turn your smartphone into a TV. I anticipate many years of fun with this toy.
Pros: High quality
Cons: several small pieces

A Little Girl's Dream!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Barbie Dream house in the mail, and my three girls were ECSTATIC all day. My 5 year old was so excited! Even my two year olds (please note, it is rated for 3+ years, but removed all small pieces while they were playing with it) were saying "A Barbie house!" over and over again. I was debating on whether to put it together when the kids were asleep, but I decided to give it a try when they were awake because they were so excited. I opened up the box, and I quickly noticed that some pieces were wrapped in plastic, and some were lose. The ones in the plastic were protected well, and the ones that were not ended up having some smaller pieces broken off (such as the refrigerator door). It was fairly simple to put together, even with three kids trying to "help out." The pieces snapped together with no tools required. The only pieces that gave me a little trouble was the garage door and the elevator. The instructions were not super clear on these parts, but I still got them to work after really studying the instructions. Once it was put together, the kids loved it! It is very tall. My two year olds could not quite reach the top level. It was no problem for my five year old. One of my daughter's favorite parts are the garage, and the swimming pool. However, the pool often comes unhooked, but she doesn't seem to mind. The younger kids are able to use the garage and elevator efficiently. The garage door sometimes comes off the tracks, but can be put back on with little effort. One really cool feature is the battery powered barbie appliances. There is a "power station" that has interchangable pieces - an aquarium, grill, toilet, fan, and sink. They are all very life-like with the sounds, however, it would be nice if they were not all powered by one piece. For example, you can't use both the sink in the bathroom & the grill in the kitchen simultaneously. There is also a phone holder to be used as the flat screen TV. It fits my iphone, but does not fit my husband's galaxy. It is a neat feature, but I don't think it is necessary for barbies to "watch" real TV. Overall, this is a very awesome toy and any girl's dream! It is well furnished with lots of "extras." My daughter's Barbie car (Volkswagon Beetle) fits perfectly in the garage. It is just great! There is so much variety, that it keeps my kids occupied for hours!
Pros: High quality, Durable, well furnished, easy assembly, great for all ages, quick assembly, compatible with other barbie accessories, interactive play, great variety of rooms
Cons: a couple of pieces were broken off before assembly, takes up a large amount of space, garage sometimes falls off tracks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie house is amazing. It is huge. It takes up what seems like half of my 3 year old dayghter's room. It has a million little pieces which give my creative daughter an overwhelming amount of ideas and things to do in the house. This is a mansion. The tiny pieces are not so fun to accidentally step on or find your infant child or cat having in their mouth so separation is a big must. It is difficult for my 3 year old to do something's, like opening the doors on the elevator and getting the garage door to open, instead she pushes the garage door, taking it off the track. This toy comes with patience. I think my daughter could play with this all day and not get bored or tired so that is a huge plus. 3 year old minds wonder and like to be constantly entertained, this house does exactly that. She finds something new with each day of playing and is excited to play every second she can.
Pros: hours of entertainment, variety of options, imagination starter
Cons: a lot of small pieces, set up time is extensive

All you need

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a child, my favorite memory of Christmas morning was waking up and finding my Barbie Dream house under the Christmas tree. I absolutely LOVED it! And this 2015 Barbie Dream house does not disappoint. You can tell that each feature was well thought out and engineered with care.
Firstly, the Dream House comes in a big box in it's original packaging. So, if it's a gift, plan accordingly. The box says that it 3 feet by 4 feet. That's no exaggeration, it's HUGE! So make sure you have space.
Barbie's elevator goes up and down using a slider. The garage door really opens (but you have to buy the car separately) The garage window doubles as a pool which I thought was really cool.
This house comes with every piece of furniture that Barbie could ever need. The best piece of furniture was a vanity that when you put certain other pieces of furniture on, they become interactive. For example, the fan moves, the fish tank bubbles, the grill glows. So cool! This is the only thing you need batteries for.
My other favorite part was the fact that I could put my smartphone in a slot to make it look like Barbie's flat screen TV. If you don't have a smartphone or don't want to put it in there, there is a sticker in it so it still looks like a TV.
Overall, this house is everything my daughter could ever dream of in a doll house and I secretly enjoy when she asks me to play Barbies with her.
Pros: Durable
