I really thought that I was going to have problems when my battery exploded on my Samsung S8 Sport. I had insurance so I got a new (remanufactured) S8. Of course my old case wouldn't fit. I got one from Otterbox and I couldn't be happier. I kept misplacing my phone on a trip and almost lost it once in the airport. I got my new Otterbox case in a short period of time and at a reasonable price. I can depend on Otterbox.

If the placement of your review is correct, it looks like you only purchased the outer synthetic rubber slipcover of the Defender Series Case, which is why it was too big for your Galaxy S8. That piece is actually meant to wrap around the inner plastic lid/base assembly of the case.
