No screen protection!!?!?!

I have ALWAYS bought otterbox defenders. ALWAYS. I have even bought more then one case for each phone I have had since I tend to keep phones longer then 2 years. Whoever decided to make this "windowless" made the worst decision. Let's call it what it is and say it was another ploy to get us consumers to buy the alpha screen protection. No thank you. Returned and going with the competion.

The defender series has been reliable way to keep my phone pristine from day one until it's time for my next upgrade. I've never considered buying another brand. This time around, I was disappointed to find that no screen protector was included. They offer an alpha glass protector, but it's expensive and as far as know, it doesn't come with a lifetime replacement warranty like the competition does. I'm loyal to otterbox for their outstanding protection, may go elsewhere to purchase a screen protector for my expensive Samsung Galaxy S8+.

Windowless and crackle sounds

I bought an Otterbox defender with the purchase of my Samsung Galaxy s8 + and was shocked when it came with no window cover leaving the screen exposed. Also after placing the phone inside, sealing the two plastic front and back parts and then placing on the rubber outer gaurd, I notice that when you go to use the volume keys the plastic inner protective case crackling noises. Big let down. I think if I have to get a screen protector anyway since the front is exposed I will just by a more slim and fashionable style case from another manufacturer.

I am a long time otter box customer and for the most part I have had no comaints untill I purchased the defender case for the Samsung galaxy S8. The overall feeling I have for this case is I don't feel like I am protecting my phone 100%. The screen feels to exposed to danger feels like not enough protection for it if you drop the phone. Also the belt clip doesn't feel secure enough I have had my phone fall out of its holster two times now and I have had the case replaced once already with in a few days of purchase. All in all I rate this a 2 out of 5 because of some flaws with the case.

I bought this case for my S8, it says dust proof but kinda hard to get the full protection since there is no screen protector. I understand that since the screen is curved it's hard to use the same plastic that is supplied on the normal otter box. The price should be lower, or a screen protector sheet provided since the price is the same as any other otter box i have purchased. I have had the otter box products for years and support your company. Just would like to see some of the same protection you provide for the "regular" phones if it's going to cost the same price. Thank you.
