I have always purchased Defender cases for my Galaxy phones for years and have never had any complaints. I read numerous reviews on how many disliked the new design for the Defender, most notably the lack of a screen protector, and it made me hesitate a little. I have to say though that I do like this case overall. I wad worried with the size of the s8+ it would be too much for my pocket but it works great. The feel and look of the case meet the same standards and so far it is still as toddler proof as ever as I can attest to. True the lack of a screen protector is annoying since the price range is still the same, but it is very hard to find a case that I really trust to protect such delicate phones. Solid job OtterBox! Just next time listen to the customers and include the screen protector again!

This case fits well, looks good, and the buttons are easy to push. The only thing I don't like is the charging plug cover, it weighs down on the charging port and I'm afraid it will eventually bend the metal part, other than that, I'm happy with my case.

I've been using the pre-hardened S6-Active for the past 3 years and wasn't accustomed to the added bulk an OB Defender would add to the S8. Consequently the phone spends more time in my hand than in my pocket where it belongs.
The OB Defender is perfect for the phone-always-in-hand user since it gives the phone a lot more surface area to hang on to and that surface is very grippy, tactile rubber. Even if I have it in my hand on a long, sweaty, run it never seems to get slippery. OtterBox have implemented the button covers in such a way that they are BETTER than how Samsung designed them, you can actually feel the button with gloves on or while the phone is in your pocket.

Case overall is ok there is no SCREEN protector and the port of the new charger is small so that the adapter sent with the phone for the older charging cables won't fit.

So far so good, no complain. I wish it comes with the screen protector but says on the description. "New SCREENLESS design", just have to put the face of the phone towards the clip every time I'm not using it, just to be on the safe side. I only gave 3 stars because sometimes the synthetic rubber slipcover comes off when I take the phone out from the clip and I have put it back.

I had an OtterBox Defender case for my Samsung Galaxy S6 and really liked the case and the protection it provided my phone. However, the case for Samsung Galaxy S8 doesn't have a cover over the screen because of Samsung's design (curved edges) for the screen. I checked out screen protectors bought one and installed it, let it set overnight and when I put phone back in case it became dislodge at top and bottom of the phone. So, currently I have no cover over the screen it self, just the OtterBox Defender case for the phone.
