Would be a perfect 10 if had a screen protector

Title says it all. This is my 3rd Defender case. Exceptional fit and finish. Feels right in the hand. Allows full functionality of buttons and screen. Have had the Galaxy S8 and Otterbox Defender a couple weeks. Previous Defenders offered "full protection". My only concern is in the long-term. What will the screen be like without any protection?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unhappy that you would release a product that is not completely compatible. the USB to C adapter that comes with Galaxy S8+ cannot be used with the Defender case on so you can't connect an external usb device.

This is my third Otterbox Defender case. The previous two provided protection all around the perimeter of the phone. This one appears to only provide protection along the top and bottom edge. I don't have much confidence in this case being able to provide sufficient protection to the phone, especially along the long edges.

I ordered a defender series case online for the Galaxy S8+. I don't know if I missed the description but it does not come with a screen protector. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. The screen is totally exposed especially because of the curved edges.

Not the best defender, but still good.

PROS: Easy to grips, port covers lift and close nicely. Love the concave around the camera, makes it easy to find the print scanner without having to turn the phone over. Buttons are easy to press. The case hugs the screen perfectly without limiting use at all.
CONS: No screen protector and the price should better reflect that or a soft one should be complementary. There is no bottom snap on the hard case so the two pieces have a gap until the soft cover is fitted. Soft cover has a slight gap at the bottom of the case that is driving mad. Had this issue with the S6 Symmetry as well.
Overall I am pleased and will use this case quite often. The Defender series has always been a favorite and a staple with every new phone. I hope they don't keep slipping in quality as I still have yet to find a great alternative.

I'm happy with just about everything about the case. I only have two complaints, one of which isn't OtterBox's fault. The first is the fact that the case makes using the fingerprint scanner a little awkward but I also think Samsung dropped the ball here by placing it there. My second complaint, and this one is on OtterBox, is the way the flaps that cover the charging port and headphones jack open up. You can't open them without the soft shell lifting up a little bit. I also remember the last time I had a case with this latch design that the flaps eventually tore off from wear and tear. My last OtterBox (Galaxy S7+) opened up the opposite direction (against the back, not the trim) and those looked like new till the last day I used that case.
