Yikes, we're so sorry to hear that your Galaxy S8 keeps taking a tumble with this Defender belt clip! It is odd that the holster doesn't seem to be holding the device, since as long as it is working in conjunction with the Defender series, the sides of the clip should snap into the case tightly. I haven't got the Galaxy S 8 yet, but I have the same case on my Galaxy S 5. I work around trucks all day. Can't count how many times I've dropped, kicked and even had the defender case over and not a scratch on the phone. Otter box cases are the best.

After putting in the cover it seem like the half of the left bottom below the bixby button all the way down to the end of the edge of the s8+ phone right at the edge using my left thumb and can push in on the side of the phone might be some of the gap there, no problem on the right side of the phone fix tightly other than that its just fine

I love the fact that I was able to buy a tempered glass screen protector and have it fit with this otter box with no complications. Very happy with my purchase however nothing is said that the defender series no longer comes with a screen protector built in with the defender series until you go to unbox it which made a little upset and I'm not sure how I feel about spending almost just as much as I did on the case for a screen protector after seeing some of the alpha glass reviews.

I purchased my Defender Series Case for my Galaxy S8+ and so far so good. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was it did not come with the clear plastic screen protector, you have to purchase that separately. But Otterbox is a great brand, always does what it's suppose to (protect my electronics)
