I bought two of these for mine and my husbands new phones. We didn't even use the new phones until we could put the Otter Boxes on them. I don't think you can find a better product. The reason I didn't give it 5 starts was because it isn't user friendly at all. The directions that come with it are ridiculous! Maybe it was because I had never put one on a phone before but I thank God for YOU TUBE! If it weren't for YOU TUBE I would have never gotten these installed on our phones!

Bought this defender and alpha glass a month ago..
Power button is very tight to push really need to push hard to make it work, also very hard to type after I fitted alpha glass.. after a week phone was put on top of locker over night woke up and crack across screen protector whick is after spreading down since.. very disappointed

We're sorry to see that the Defender/Alpha Glass combo for the Galaxy S8+ is not working well for you! Occasionally, the side buttons on new cases can be a little rigid at first, but they do tend to relax after some consistent use. With time, you should find that the Power button becomes much easier to access.
As for the Alpha Glass, we truly apologize that it cracked after an incident in the locker room. Our awesome Otters would love to hook you up with a warranty replacement, so please feel free to call them at 1-855-688-7269. They'll set this up and get you grooving to the ultimate protection in no time at all!

Love it so far. Feels much more durable and protective than the past 3 Symmetry cases I've owned while not being any thicker than them. Sick of hearing all these complaints that it's not as bulky as older defenders (that's a good thing) and that it doesn't come with a screen protector which I would throw away anyway. Ignore the whiny negative reviews lol

I've used OtterBox for a long time, since 2011. Just purchase a new Samsung Galaxy S8 and of course, needed a new case. FYI: I will always use OtterBox.
Pro's: rugged, 3-tier protections, easy to use
