I bought the same otter box phone case over 3 years ago and it was a life saver for my phone. This case bounced down the road for over 20ft after falling off my motorcycle at 55 mph and my phone never even got a scratch on it.
This was my first Otter box and I am disappointed. It leaves the screen really exposed due to the curved edge on the phone. I will buy a different brand of case that protects the edge better. This case only protects half the phone. I would rather not use the edge than break the phone as soon as it falls on anything but the back or the corner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke within 3 months

I bought a cheap off brand case with belt clip for my Galaxy S8. It broke within a few weeks. After asking others what they liked I bought an Otterbox expecting it to be the last case I need. Within 3 months the tab on the case that holds it in the holder had broken off. I turned the case around so the phone faced the other direction. Within a month that side of the tab broke also rendering the holder useless. A case that is advertised as the best on the market should last more than 4 or 5 months. I won't be buying another Otterbox unless they offer at least a 2 year warranty. I do not recommend this case.
